Marine Protected Areas on the high seas. On 3 and 4 February 2011, the Zoological Society of London are holding the symposium Marine Protected Areas on the high seas. Which will highlight current progress and barriers to progress towards the 2002 World Summit on Sustainable Development call for the establishment of marine protected areas and representative networks by 2012.
