Patzcuaro Living: Kitchen Appliances
http://patzcuaroliving.blogspot.com/2007/04/kitchen-appliances.html
Sunday, April 1, 2007. This is a section I could use a little help with. We explored every local appliance store in town, and even went to Costco and Wal-Mart, and ended up buying our fridge and our oven here in town and our toaster, coffee maker, microwave, etc at various big box stores in Morelia. I have heard of folks that ordered Sub Zero appliances from overseas and had them delivered here in Mexico; and folks that had the local enviro group GIRA. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Patzcuaro Living: Gardening in Patzcuaro
http://patzcuaroliving.blogspot.com/2007/10/gardening-in-patzcuaro.html
Tuesday, June 19, 2007. This is an area where I could use some help and comments. What grows well, when and how? We've had great luck with kale and rhubarb plants that we bought form Lisa and Ian's farm last fall. They've been growing and producing for almost a full year now. Our strawberry plants (planted in August) have been hanging in there, fruiting now and then but barely. I think we'll get some this summer? I've also heard that year 2 the strawberries go nuts. Patzcuaro Living: October 2006
http://patzcuaroliving.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 15, 2006. Everything old is new again. I wouldn't have thought that worm holes on 400-year old pine wood would be one of my favorite local decorations, but they really are. I have found and heard a lot of conflicting information about "old wood" or "troje" wood, but I'm going to believe the government on this one, and guess that pre- Hispanic Purepecha people built homes entirely out of wood. And these wooden cabins were/are called trojes. Sunday, October 1, 2006. To design our kitchen an...
