The Government announced last month that Spanish mayors´s payroll will not exceed €68,000 a year. And their salary will depend on the city´s population. So the larger the city, the higher the salary. Around twenty mayors. Already surpass that figure. Who makes €78,000 a year. Nevertheless, there are several things to be done if they really want to close the gap with the regular people.
