Monte Pelpi | the farmer + his wife

The farmer his wife. One country boy one city girl their three daughters. following their dream to be farmers. Italy – September. I think by the time we arrived in Italy we were well and truly ready to settle into a bit of a routine and make one place ‘home’ for a while, after moving endlessly for the past three months. When it comes to rooting yourself in routine AND getting your farmer on is there any better way than milking cows and goats twice a day? In the evenings the girls would come into the milk...

The farmer his wife. One country boy one city girl their three daughters. following their dream to be farmers. I know it’s not very nice to hear that someone doesn’t like you, but I think you’re probably big enough to handle it. Plus it seems every other madam, monsieur and their poodle loves you enough for you to feel pretty good about yourself without us making too much of a dent in your self esteem. Perhaps you’ll remember seeing my daughters face light up when I woke her up that night and took her ou...

The farmer his wife. One country boy one city girl their three daughters. following their dream to be farmers. When you do it with a local…. It’s a fairly well established fact that when you get to do a place with a local, you get to experience that place in a whole different way to the standard do-it-your-self-tour experience. In short you pretty much get the antithesis of The Day with The Plan. Thank goodness for Our Dave, the Aussie mate turned long time Berlin resident. Because he. After lunch we spe...

The farmer his wife. One country boy one city girl their three daughters. following their dream to be farmers. The Traveling Circus takes on The Alps. September 10th to 13th. I couldn’t rightly say just how many cock ups there were during our journey from Berlin to Bedonia, but for a three day trip the number was impressively large. Which is a bit depressing really, because a friend just emailed me and asked my advice about traveling through the Austrian Alps next year. 8220;Yes it does. It shows you...

Twenty years | the farmer + his wife
https://thefarmerandhiswife.com/2016/03/17/twenty-years
The farmer his wife. One country boy one city girl their three daughters. following their dream to be farmers. Twenty years ago today I picked up my backpack, kissed my mum and dad, got on a plane and flew to London to meet my best friend. I planned to go for a few months. See some sights, kiss some boys, drink some beer, buy some clothes. I wasn’t planning to stay for three years. I certainly wasn’t expecting them to be the three very best years of my life. But by golly they were! But like yesterday too.
