Conference on Ecopoetics: February 2012

http://ecopoeticsconference.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

About the Conference on Ecopoetics. Has become increasingly important to scholars and poets alike. It is certainly a critical moment for the field and practice. Please join us in February for a three-day conference that will focus specifically on exploring ecopoetics, taking up such questions as: What is ecopoetics? What representational strategies and sociopolitical commitments might characterize this practice? How might we periodize ecopoetics and situate its modes of cultural production?

Speaking – Allison Cobb

November 11, 2014. At the Alette in Oakland conference recently, I passed out small mirrors with a photo of Alice Notley glued to the back. I asked people to hold the mirror, reflective side up, under one eye and pretend they lived on the ceiling. The point of “ceiling dwelling” is to make the everyday world strange, to help cultivate the discipline of disobedience. Here is Alice Notley holding an Alice Notley mirror under her eye. Reading among 15th c tapestries. January 24, 2014. For having me there.

Un Blog de Eric L Thierion. Mardi 2 juin 2009.
