After a bus ride from 9:45pm to 7:00am, which took us from Canoa back to Quito, we spent a night enjoying some of the forgotten pleasures we had been living without, such as t.v., restaurant menus that included more than rice and seafood, hot water whenever we want it, and even a little ********. After catching up on much needed sleep, from the bus ride, we found some Cuban cigars to relax. After a Day in Quito, we escaped to Otavalo for some shopping in the markets.

Friday, July 20, 2007. I know its been a while. PUERTO LOPEZ, ECUADOR. After leaving Montanita, we took a whale watching trip off the beach of Puerto Lopez. We saw a number of whales on this $30 trip. Here are two whales swimming side by side. The three of us chilling on the front of the boat. By the way, this was the first day of sun we had seen in about a week. Here is our first day in the sun. Thankfully, John was able to fight off these two ninjas. This is Jason getting tossed around over the Pacific.

Saturday, July 7, 2007. J, Nate and I walked the 7km from Ben´s house into the center of Riobamba. Little did we know we would be doing a lot of walking over the next few days.
