Eden Pottery was created by Cathryn Barger. A home-based studio creating functional hand-crafted stoneware dinnerware, kitchenware and bakeware. Armed with an interior merchandising degree from The Ohio State University, Cathryn researches color trends and embellishing designs to use on her art. Her husband, Paul, also pitches in with the heavy lifting, show set-up, studio clean-up.and the occasional spider evacuation. They live in South-Western Ohio with their two children. Our handcrafted pottery is made from durable Stoneware clay and kiln fired to over 2200 F. The firing makes it impenetrable to liquids, creating a functional product.but we take that further by dipping or hand painting a lead-free, microwave safe, dishwasher safe and oven-proof glaze onto the surface to make a handcrafted, functional piece of art. Currently our operation is not the mass production of pottery, so feel confident in knowing the piece you buy really is. Most custom orders ship in 4 to 6 weeks.
