T5 is a much bigger project comparing to previous Speedies entries and to be honest it’s far from finished at this point. In fact it’s on hold as I fail to find free time for some 3d fun these days and other group members seem to have the exact same problem. Modeled them last week, still lots of work to be done. I also set a test render with these bricks assembled. It baked for 7 hours today. Here are two layer blending variations I like the most. I always felt like I needed more practice in this area to be honest, so it was a good opportunity to learn something entirely new. Posted on September 12th, 2010. Final textures of the portable flamethrower. After a few days off, I came back to this and finished it. Below is some screenshots taken inside 3dx max viewport using 3pshader. The final tri count is 5484 and is using textures with 2048*1024 size. More pictures bellow.
