Creamy polenta with balsamic mushrooms and onions | k + eats

https://ediblek.wordpress.com/2010/09/12/creamy-polenta-with-balsamic-mushrooms-and-onions

What’s Cooking Now. Out of the frying pan ”. Cinnamon rolls for the purple and gold. September 12, 2010. Creamy polenta with balsamic mushrooms and onions. Summers in Seattle are woefully, depressingly brief, but Seattle is so much more. In the autumn. I like the cool, mild, rain-soaked days, particularly once I remember to keep an umbrella by my side. I like the colors of the changing leaves and I like the hustle of students during the start of the academic year. 1 large onion, quartered and sliced thin.

What’s Cooking Now. Out of the frying pan ”. My girl ›. October 17, 2010. For someone who actually uses recipes about 5% of the time, I sure own a lot of cookbooks. I flip through them and find inspiration, recipe bases, interesting flavor combinations, and I do occasionally follow the recipe (particularly with baking – I’ll at least make it according to the recipe once, and tweak after I’ve tasted it). The American’s Test Kitchen Family Cookbook. On Food and Cooking. Anything by Rick Bayless. I’ve...

What’s Cooking Now. Out of the frying pan ”. Low-fat pumpkin custard with spiced pecans. Camera trouble ›. October 11, 2010. I have been feeling guilty that I’ve only been able to post once a week with my current schedule, but I don’t know if that will change much at all for the time being. Fall is always the busiest time at work, and losing daylight doesn’t help matters. Low-fat pumpkin custard with spiced pecans. Camera trouble ›. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Back from vacation | k + eats

https://ediblek.wordpress.com/2010/09/29/back-from-vacation-eating-sweet-potato-gnocchi-with-fried-sage-and-apple

What’s Cooking Now. Out of the frying pan ”. Pistachio cardamom cake ›. September 29, 2010. I’ve been strangely disoriented during these first days back from vacation. Even our house doesn’t feel familiar apparently we’d gotten used to sleeping in the car, on air mattresses, on the floor any place with a roof, really. The usual routine is suddenly alien to me, and I miss the late nights and sleeping in. RECIPE: Sweet potato gnocchi with fried sage and apple. 1 large sweet potato. 1 egg, lightly beaten.

Camera trouble | k + eats

https://ediblek.wordpress.com/2010/10/13/camera-trouble

What’s Cooking Now. Out of the frying pan ”. My addiction ›. October 13, 2010. My poor camera – beat up incessantly during our road trip – needs a little tune-up before all systems are go. Needless to say, I’m cooking, but without photographic proof it’s far less interesting. So, other than inviting everyone over to mine for dinner, my only option is holding out until it’s functional again. My addiction ›. Write a new comment. I’ll come over and prove it! I'm a girl. I live in Portland. I bike. May 13, 2013. I'm a girl. I live in Portland. I bike. April Recap/May Challenge →. April 20, 2013. Wow, April is speeding by. Only 10 days left! In my effort to relax more I haven’t been doing yoga like I planned, but I have found something very simple that’s actually been really helpful. Such a small example of the tension we keep hold of that can be let go. I also got to take Atticus on his first bike ride, and as I’m sure you can guess, I loved every second of it. He seemed to enjoy it too! Enter your comment here.

I'm a girl. I live in Portland. I bike. Newer posts →. March 12, 2013. I just returned from another 3 mile run along the trail by our house. The first half was great- slightly downward incline and a tailwind, but of course that made for a tougher second half. Regardless, it always feels great when you finish a run. March 6, 2013. I'm a girl. I live in Portland. I bike. Birth Story →. May 13, 2013. Wow, May 13th already! I’m behind on starting my May challenge, but I’m not going to throw in the towel altogether. May started with a bad sickness that left me and my husband feverish and taking care of a teething baby. Rough times, but now that we’re well again I am so grateful for our good health and that somehow Atticus never caught what we had. This entry was posted in 30 day challenge. Birth Story →. What’s Cooking Now. Out of the frying pan ”. November 2, 2010. Our lives were recently turned upside-down at the passing of our beloved pet, our bunny Mallory. We got her when she was just a tiny ball of fluff. She fit neatly into the palm of our hand and spent the next 8 months living in a tiny bedroom with the two of us. She slept on our pillow and chewed through more wires than I can count. October 17, 2010. The American’s Test Kitchen Family Cookbook. On Food and Cooking. By David Lebovitz, is a rela...
