So, in other not really great news, the garden has about half crapped out this year and I can't say that I really care. We should have lots of corn; it's doing really good. But I can't eat it and Jack wants to go mostly starch-free too, I guess to support and make it easier for me, and to see if he loses any weight! It’s a fun way to thin out your perennial beds, cull your seed starts and pick up some new starts of plants that you might not have. May 27, 2015 at 7:11 AM ( Uncategorized. Nearing the end of May we have almost everything in the ground we intended. The last few days we’ve had a pattern of rain that prevented me from doing anymore tilling, but I was able to sneak in and get a patch done for our sweet corn. I still need to plant our sweet potato rings and some of our squash. Theresa has been freezing, drying and jamming a mess of strawberries the last couple of days. Many more berries to go. Lost on Dragonfly Farm. June 26, 2013 at 1:09 pm ( The Farm. The long running porch project is 95% complete, so it’s good enough to show off. This was the back of the house this time last year. Here is the porch now in all its glory. The inside turned out roomy with the bump out seating. I can sleep out there in the afternoons and it feels soooooo good.
