EDITORS' CODE OF PRACTICE COMMITTEE INTRODUCING IPSO. The Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO) became the new regulatory body for the UK newspaper and magazine industry in September 2014. Under the Chairmanship of Sir Alan Moses, IPSO has a wider remit than its predecessor, the Press Complaints Commission. It has a particular commitment to monitor and enforce compliance with the Editors' Code of Practice, which remains central to the self-regulatory system.
