http://stuckinthebigring.blogspot.com/2010/10/wineglass-marathon-2010.html
Stuck in the Big Ring. Thursday, October 07, 2010. Half Full in every way. The happy runner is Boston bound. Congrats! It was a great weekend. Glad everyone came out for the fun. Support crew convenes for a. Race eve strategy session. Arriving at the 4.5mi mark near Bath, after a sleep, er, priceless night in Horseheads. The only thing I liked about Hh is the "Godfather" tangent on which I mentally escaped. The Man (bright green singlet) approaches a left turn up the hill at 4.5mi. A little leaf color.

Stuck in the Big Ring: Great Personal News on the Job Front
http://stuckinthebigring.blogspot.com/2011/08/great-personal-news-on-job-front.html
Stuck in the Big Ring. Friday, August 05, 2011. Great Personal News on the Job Front. This morning I accepted an offer for a full-time permanent job with the federal government. Start date is Monday, August 15. It's a brand new position, deemed necessary in the face of belt tightening, so I'm hoping it's not on the chopping block as federal downsizing cranks up. The volume of work is daunting and the subject matter challenging, but interesting. Norwegian riders winning four. Posted by C. Cowley. Diamond ...

Stuck in the Big Ring: NPR, Baseball & Brazilian Beats
http://stuckinthebigring.blogspot.com/2010/08/npr-baseball-brazilian-beats.html
Stuck in the Big Ring. Saturday, August 28, 2010. NPR, Baseball and Brazilian Beats. Fun Fri. evening last night courtesy of Mark. Started with a tour of NPR - awesome. For a long time NPR listener. Icing on the cake - watched a few minutes of the All Things Considered broadcast in progress. Closed with a Nationals v Cards game on a comfortable 80F or so night, complete with NPR logo'd hat and souvenier baseball. And an impressive display of drumming. Crowd sources tell me it's Brazilian style.

Youngest of Six: R.I.P. Aspen
http://youngestofsix.blogspot.com/2012/04/rip-aspen.html
Blogging for the family since April '05. Sunday, April 29, 2012. Sad news about Aspen. It came time for her to go this week. She'd been having an increasingly hard time getting around, and it got to the point where she could no longer stand up because her back legs were just too weak. True to her nature, she never complained and was calm and collected right to the end. I can't same the same for us, but we all had a chance to say good bye - which meant a lot. Into My Sixties: August 2006
http://intomysixties.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 20, 2006. More of the same on this end—hot days, lots of work, and weekends that are too short. But here's a picture that does the heart good, taken by Martha. Those are blueberries, picked by Martha, and Lily obviously appreciates them. (How does she feel about sharing? Her great grandparents would be pretty impressed. And, in honor of Dad's birthday, here's a photo of a well-dressed biker. Posted by into my 60s at 8:07 PM. Sunday, August 13, 2006. And in the overcrowded scarf category,.

Into My Sixties: April 2006
http://intomysixties.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 30, 2006. 40 acres and a mule. Well, maybe not 40 acres, but enough. The corn, bean, pumpkin, and squash seeds are in the ground. Plants that were too big for their space have been dug up and moved to a new spot. About 5 bushels of weeds have been ripped out of the garden. And both cats have had another good dose of fresh catnip from the garden. Life is good. At that price, we now have some summer dishes [Pfaltzgraff; those coffee cups hold 2 cups (I measured)]. Should I be worried? We luck...

Youngest of Six: February 2010
http://youngestofsix.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Blogging for the family since April '05. Sunday, February 21, 2010. From One Snow Scene To Another. We've been going to the Canaan Valley in West Virginia for many years, but we'd never been confronted with the amount of snow that was piled halfway up our driveway and on the house when we got there yesterday. Quite a way to spend the weekend after having been through the blizzards here in N. Va. Posted by Mark Memmott. Labels: W. Va. Sunday, February 07, 2010. Posted by Mark Memmott. Follow me on Twitter.
