Ndash; Freshwater angling opportunities are endless on this virtually untapped fishery. The North Saskatchewan boasts an incredible array of sport fishing species; walleye, northern pike, goldeye, mountain whitefish, sauger and burbot, and the elusive and prehistoric giant lake sturgeon. The North Saskatchewan river regularly produces walleye in the 6-9lb range, and 10-12lb fish are fairly common. All angling equipment is provided, as is rain gear. Just bring your sense of adventure!

The river starts out the spring with high silt and a chocolatey appearance, but when the spring run-off ceases the river clears up. Towards August and September the river clears up, you can see the bottom in most places, and is just a great body of water to be on. The biggest myth surrounding Edmontons North Saskatchewan River? A private testing firm confirmed that the river was just as clean downstream of the sewage treatment plant as it was upstream. Thats impressive!
