September 25, 2011. Meet Me at the Oasis. Almost 2 years after we bought our house, we finally landscaped our backyard. It's so nice to have a little (emphasis on "Little") oasis in the middle of our busy lives to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, or a glass of wine in the evening. You've always got to have a Before shot. It makes the reveal that much more dramatic. Did I mention it was a small backyard? Hey, I live in the middle of Los Angeles, so it's more like a really big balcony. Here in LA....

September 9, 2012. Dolls in the Desert. Last May I took a trip to the desert- we went hiking at Joshua Tree and stayed at Two Bunch Palms in Desert Hot Springs. I was working on an art project that had to do with creating costumes and then styling a photoshoot for dolls ( My Fan Art Project for Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. April 8, 2012. Now THAT'S an Easter Bonnet. In my almost 20 years in New York I never went to the Easter Bonnet Parade, but I always imagined what I'd wear. I no longer live there, and regret not having gone but I can still use my imagination to dream up a perfect Easter Bonnet. The first thing that comes to mind with "Imagination" and "Hats" is Philip Treacy. I love me some orchids. Why not have a giant one on my head? Being followed by a swarm of butterflies. The Swarm gets a little more contained.

Some innovative architects have given new meaning to "repurposing".think: tricked out mobile homes or recyclable pre-fab construction. My architect husband was conceptualizing a home in the CA desert based on grouping cargo containers together and creating an outdoor/indoor space. Here is some inspiration I found:.
