Evoking peace and purpose through movement. Services and Current Teaching. June 16, 2015. I have recently been in a situation dominated by “either, or” and it has prompted me to think about this in terms of dance education. In (dance) education, consumers- and many providers- seem stuck on classifying everything. Rating everything. Judging everything. (Read my article. For Dance Advantage on why I refer to the current generation of dancers as “The Hybrids”. ) I find myself frustrated. I shared this talk.

Evoking peace and purpose through movement. Services and Current Teaching. Articles relating to choreography and performance. July 21, 2014. This weekend I had the distinct honor of presenting at the McEntire Education Summit, hosted by Trent McEntire. Trent and I are old friends- the best kind, where you don’t speak nearly often enough but when you do, it is as if not a day has gone by. Trent is a force in the pilates world, a real icon and one that takes people and their potential seriously. Happiness ...

Evoking peace and purpose through movement. Services and Current Teaching. Like a Bull in a Candy Store. Was commissioned by the Department of Theatre and the Orchesis Student Dance Society at Michigan State University. Evoking peace and purpose through movement. Services and Current Teaching. April 20, 2016. I am nearly 9 months into my career leap. Here’s what I am noticing:. 1 Vision is sometimes clearer from a distance. My leap was prompted by the desire to:. Do meaningful work full-time, in environments which recognize and embrace the need I seek to fill; moving to improve the quality of one’s life. Strip away the pieces of my teaching that others can do well and to focus on what makes my teaching specialized.

Evoking peace and purpose through movement. Biting Your Own Teeth. June 30, 2015. June 30, 2015. The long and winding road to educating David. Not two weeks after, I ran into a mom from David's former school, who asked if I could prep her and share with her what I'd experienced to help her daughter secure a spot in a school that better suited her needs.
