Monday, June 8, 2009. Jim turned thirty this week! He took the day off work so we could relax and enjoy the great weather. Every year, Jim asks for the same thing for his birthday: to ski at Long Lake. And every year it rains. Or we can't find someone to ski with us. So we haven't skiied on Long Lake on his birthday since 1997. Seriously. First things first. here is JT giving Dad his birthday present: new board shorts to wear in the boat. And here is our "Jim is 30" family photo. But that's not all!

Monday, August 9, 2010. We had our 34-week baby checkup yesterday and all is well. Five weeks to go! I spent the entire time at Banks Lake in a bikini because it was too hot for modesty. :) My sister-in-law took this picture to document Haley's "first trip" to Banks Lake. Tuesday, September 27, 2016. Friends of Instant Pot. I got an Instant Pot. For my birthday. I love it. Pressure cooking, it turns out, is really efficient and easy. I love that it cooks simple things I use often really well, like brown rice and quinoa, but it also does a great job with meats, chicken, fish, and stews. Tuesday, April 26, 2016. Behind the Boat Again. It was so fun to have amazing weather for our friend Katie's birthday request: skiing with us. We couldn't be happier about her birthday wish! The other good news is that I skied - only 29 days after my knee debridement! It was painless to get up (which was NOT the case last summer), and I definitely felt pressure on both knees crossing the wakes, but it was so much better than before that I am already grateful. Tuesday, January 3, 2017. We have really enjoyed the lull between Christmas and New Year's, when there isn't much going on and we can all be home together. Thursday, June 30, 2016. We ended the season on a high, to be sure. JT and Haley both had their last games on Jim's birthday, and Haley's end of season party was immediately after. JT's end of season party was Sunday this week because his coaches wisely waited until they could put "League Champs" on their trophies! When JT's team won, they took photos on the field.
