Thursday, 12 March 2009. Yeah, I know. I've been rubbish. I'm sorry. I may even continue to be rubbish in the weeks ahead, and blog ridiculously sporadically. I will endeavour not to, but I just can't guarantee that I'll have anything worth saying. Today, however, I do. Today, I want to say, "please watch the following":. If you'd like to do as they say and spend your tea-bag / fish fingers / kitchen roll / chocolate money on a red nose in aid of Comic Relief, you can do so here. 12 March 2009 at 21:24.

Monday, 20 October 2008. Reasons to be cheerful. Back by popular demand. So soft and cosy! And yes, I know I shouldn't really have bought them because. A) I could have made something veeeery similar myself, and. B) they are mass-produced and from a big(ish) chain. As of last weekend, my left hand is now considerably sparklier than it used to be:. Part 3 is my favourite :o). Thursday, 9 October 2008. Wreck this journal - it begins. First, I followed an instruction that I found VERY difficult:. Wednesday, ...

Thursday, 31 January 2008. We axe for what we want. The Vikings were alive and well in a small corner of Bristol last night, when I hosted a tribute to Up Helly-Aa. Or Up Hell's Alley Without a Fire Extinguisher, as somebody re-christened it (you know who you are). which is really quite apt and has been making me giggle every time it comes to mind :o). During again, this time more energetically. I despair, I really do: you give people the world, and they ask for the moon on a stick. Finally, on a complet...

A bid for freedom. and a request for advice. My girl is going away. All the way to America for two weeks, with work. The monkeys don't want her to leave. I don't want her to leave either :o(. Thursday, 13 November 2008. Can't blog. far too busy behaving like a headless chicken. Sorry bloggers - having tantalised you with a promise of post-shower journal pics I'm going to have to postpone that treat because I'm far too busy this evening, with two Very Important Things. Very Important Thing number one is that I am getting in a flap because I don't know what to wear tomorrow for my graduation ceremony - any ideas on what goes well with a flat hat? Sobs quietly to self as song refuses to leave he...

David Monnerat | Trying to be better every day.
Trying to be better every day. Motivation By Being Visible. I was on the treadmill today. Normally, I do most of my run at the moderate pace of an old man and sprinkle in a dash of a faster speed to simulate a brief interval before I frantically mash the buttons on the machine to slow back down. But today, there was someone on the treadmill next to me that kept glancing over to check my speed. This shall not stand! There is something motivating about being visible, whether anyone is watching or not.
