Sunday, December 30, 2007. So here I am, in the middle of my winter break, and I'm working on 3D models that I should've finished a long time ago. - -. Gonna be an agonizing second semester. Posted by Edvardian at 4:45 PM. Toronto, Ontario, Canada. View my complete profile. Flash Comic Mockup Test.

Monday, February 25, 2008. 2D rough animation test. I might decide to instead put the 2D animation inside the 3D scene, thereby getting rid of the need to match movements altogether. I just need to figure out how to do animated textures in Maya, if that's the case. Posted by Edvardian at 12:01 AM. Thursday, February 14, 2008. Posted by Edvardian at 9:25 PM. Tuesday, February 12, 2008. Just a quickie progress update. The outer textures for the biplane is pretty much complete. Posted by Edvardian at 2:25 AM.

Monday, April 14, 2008. Well, the film is as done as it's going to get for now. I'll get back to it later (hopefully), but for now I have to focus on putting together a demo reel and portfolio for job hunting. Of the parts that I did complete, it didn't really turn out the way I wanted to. My favorite is probably the flight montage sequence. Sadly the pilots are missing in those shots. Oh well. Hope you enjoy. Posted by Edvardian at 6:10 AM. Saturday, April 5, 2008. Posted by Edvardian at 9:46 AM.

Etherwing Studios: June 2008
http://etherwing.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 25, 2008. Lately I've gotten to realize that animation really isn't the kind of job for me. At least, not the kind of animation I've been doing. What I've been really looking into is doing modelling and animation for games, specifically low to mid poly games. So I've been working on models for that, and hopefully I'll get around to animating them soon. Finally, to wrap up loose ends. well, the Etherwing website. Posted by Edvardian at 12:04 PM. Wednesday, January 30, 2008. For those interested, here's the more-or-less final story reel for the film. I neglected to put it up since I wasn't happy with a few of the scenes (I'll rework them during production), but since it would be helpful to put up a rough idea of how the actual film might look like, I guess I might as well link this. Etherwing Studios: July 2007
http://etherwing.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 16, 2007. On another note, I think my 4th year film idea is pretty much nailed down now. I'll have to start work on that soon. I'll post more details on that here later. Despite my setbacks, I don't feel too bad about it. Maybe because my thoughts are more concerned with Eureka 7, a really great anime series I just finished watching last night. You know that kind of empty feeling you get when you finish a great story and you feel like you're just back in the mundane world again? Or rather no...

http://theplaidhat.blogspot.com/2012/10/yeti-walk.html
Thursday, October 18, 2012. Yeti in the snow. He looks cold and somewhat bored. Would you be his friend? That's right, I made a haiku. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). This is My Blog! I am Matt. A Toque is a Hat: Obviously
http://theplaidhat.blogspot.com/2011/01/obviously.html
Monday, January 17, 2011. Well I'm no (insert favorite comedian here) so I went with the Jiminy Cricket technique. I thought and thought and then finally, late at night (possibly looking at some stars) sitting on a bus on my way back to Toronto from Orillia, it hit me. A Yeti showing off to some rabbits through the means of extreme tobogganing. OBVIOUSLY! At least it all works up in my head. Now I just have to get it all out on paper. I guess that's the other realy hard part. This is My Blog!

A Toque is a Hat: Louis the Fish
http://theplaidhat.blogspot.com/2012/09/louis-fish.html
Friday, September 21, 2012. I was on my honeymoon and I drew a fish with a big mouth on the shower door. I thought is would be fun to see this fish sing the last bit of "What a Wonderful World". The song itself was first recorded by Louis Armstrong in 1968 and it was written by Bob Thiele (who, at the time, went by George Douglas) and George Weiss. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
