The Sítio Itaporanga ( land of Itaporanga ) is full of big flat rocks in beautiful shapes with trees and wild orchids and bromeliads in between, something like you’ve never seen before. Back to basics in modern times. Duurzaam wonen in Bahia, waarom daar? Klimaat van Bahia laat je nooit in de kou staan, zelfs niet in de winter. Gastvrije, sociale mensen, smeltkroes. Geen orkanen, aardbevingen of vulkaanuitbarstingen. Veel plek per inwoner. Grootste zoetwatervoorraad ter wereld. Een leven in de Chapada Diamantina. Waarom daar nu juist? Onbeperkt wandelplezier in het natuurpark van 152 000 ha. Ganse jaar zwemmen in de vele schitterende rivieren en watervallen. Schone lucht, geen industrie.

Back to basics in modern times. We ontvangen geen vrijwilligers meer in 2014. Het was een schitterende ervaring! Dank aan alle vrijwilligers! Vanaf februari 2015 ontvangen we opnieuw vrijwilligers. Momenteel staat het project nog in zijn kinderschoenen en is er enkel basisaccomodatie ( tentjes matras ). We kunnen maximum 3 vrijwilligers ontvangen en vragen een mininum verblijf van 5 dagen ( maandag tot vrijdag ). Natural swimming pool 2 minutes walking. Er is een gemeenschappelijke buitenkeuken. Back to basics in modern times. Ten noorden van Lençois neemt het gebied Barro Branco ( witte klei ) een hapje uit het Nationale park Chapada Diamantina. Gruta do lapão, Barro Branco. Het mooie pad van de Pai Inacio via Barro Branco naar Lençois is een belangrijke historische weg. Tot de jaren 60 was deze weg de enige toegangsweg naar Lençois.
