Enjoying the simple things: Eyebrows in question
http://montydob.blogspot.com/2011/06/eyebrows-in-question.html
Enjoying the simple things. A little of everything; a lot of mom {diy, life and family}. Friday, June 10, 2011. We just happened to be goofing around and now I have a recent snapshot with the eyebrows in question! Very time I go get my haircut, I am asked if I want to have my eyebrows waxed and every time I say, "No thanks.". Do you think they are trying to tell me something? Come on, at least they are not this bad. I think birds could build a nest in there. Have a good weekend! June 10, 2011 at 8:58 AM.

http://montydob.blogspot.com/2011/06/picnic-and-paint-stick-pendant-update.html
Enjoying the simple things. A little of everything; a lot of mom {diy, life and family}. Picnic and a paint stick pendant update. Thursday, June 16, 2011. On the day before school ended, the third grade classes (2) held magic shows and a picnic for the parents. It was a perfect day - no humidity. The school provided a picnic lunch and we sat under a big shade tree enjoying all of the excited talk among the kids. We played a game of kickball, parents vs kids and can you guess who won? How fun for an end o...

Enjoying the simple things: Quality control - ordering prints
http://montydob.blogspot.com/2011/08/quality-control.html
Enjoying the simple things. A little of everything; a lot of mom {diy, life and family}. Quality control - ordering prints. Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Am attempting to make my own canvas prints. When I received the first three of my five prints, I quickly opened up the tube to see how they looked and tacked them up on the wall for placement. You can see the scrape from the printer in the top photo, an apparent quality control issue. And if I pan out you can see another error. Have a nice day! Paint stic...

Enjoying the simple things: Better for it
http://montydob.blogspot.com/2011/01/better-for-it.html
Enjoying the simple things. A little of everything; a lot of mom {diy, life and family}. Monday, January 31, 2011. Hen I was little my mom took me to see the King Tutankhamun exhibit in Seattle. I didn't really know much about it except that we were taking a 3 hour drive to see an ancient Egyptian and if there were time, I'd get to go up the Space Needle. I was just excited for a road trip. I remember meandering around the glass cases and seeing the famous golden slippers,. That most "important thing" my...

Enjoying the simple things: Almost as good as being there
http://montydob.blogspot.com/2011/09/almost-as-good-as-being-there.html
Enjoying the simple things. A little of everything; a lot of mom {diy, life and family}. Almost as good as being there. Wednesday, September 7, 2011. When I used to teach scrapbooking classes, I always told people to try to stay away from typing out their captions for their photographs so much, opting for their own handwriting. While sometimes it was easier and more fun to use computerized fonts, I felt that some personalization was lost in using such a mechanical approach. How many of us still have card...

Enjoying the simple things: Wax on - crafting with leaves
http://montydob.blogspot.com/2010/10/wax-on-crafting-with-leaves.html
Enjoying the simple things. A little of everything; a lot of mom {diy, life and family}. Wax on - crafting with leaves. Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Ach year as the leaves are in full swing of changing colors, I gather some and take them home to begin my ironing wax marathon. The neighbors are used to me scouring their lawns for different varieties. While they do have pretty fall colors in Northern Utah, they don't have as many of the hardwood maples which produce the vibrant reds. First - hunt and gather.

Enjoying the simple things: Story telling on NPR - The Man in the Attic

Enjoying the simple things. A little of everything; a lot of mom {diy, life and family}. Story telling on NPR - The Man in the Attic. Monday, July 6, 2015. For years I remember my mom always donating to public radio. She always made a pledge and would get some little gift in the mail. She'd have us listen to all kinds of interesting programs while driving around in the car, even if we did not quite understand the content. But it's not just all news and politics! Reruns) which is hilarious! Canvas art - a...

Enjoying the simple things: Advice to avoid, #1
http://montydob.blogspot.com/2011/12/advice-to-avoid-1.html
Enjoying the simple things. A little of everything; a lot of mom {diy, life and family}. Advice to avoid, #1. Saturday, December 10, 2011. Right after I had my 1st baby, I was told that I should probably cut my hair to a short length because I wouldn't have time to get ready, much less tend to a long hair style with a new baby in the house. And as I found out, there. So, avoid the advice that you'll never have time to get ready in the morning once kids come and you should cut your hair all off so you don...

Enjoying the simple things: Lavender harvest and sugar scrubs
http://montydob.blogspot.com/2011/06/lavender-harvest-and-sugar-scrubs.html
Enjoying the simple things. A little of everything; a lot of mom {diy, life and family}. Lavender harvest and sugar scrubs. Tuesday, June 14, 2011. As you brush by the lavender in the garden, a light scent of the flowers fill the air. I've always wanted to have a field of lavender, if for nothing else, the color. I want them to grow more full and lush next year so I cut them back and harvested a portion over the weekend. The coconut tamed the olive oil and by infusing some lavender, it added another laye...
