Skip to main content. We have a collection of over two hundred varieties, but make wine from just six. They are Madeleine Angevine, Pinot Noir, Regent, Chardonnay, Seyval, and Pinot Meunier. This white grape is widely planted in the UK it is a hybrid that can be relied upon to crop well; it has a good flavour and shows good resistance to most vine diseases. Seyval copes well with the vagaries of the UK climate.

Skip to main content. Booking is essential and to avoid disappointment, you or your club secretary will need to do this as early in the year as possible as the diary fills quickly. To enable families, friends, clubs and societies to plan their programmes, tours can be booked up to a year in advance. The ideal group is between 10 and 35 adults. The visit lasts up to two hours and costs 5.00 per person.

We began here in June 1979 and have been growing vines, keeping bees and making wines and mead ever since. We also have our own purpose-built winery. Our son Jan and his partner Liz have recently taken on the care of the Apiary and are producing honey for the table and to go into the production of Mead. Page of our website.
