Since the Greek age and the red sea is called like that. ancient Greeks use to name the oceans and seas according to the colors like black sea and white sea (Mediterranean sea) . and so they named it red sea.what made them choose the red color exactly is not well known . But, some theory says that it could be because of the red Color that appears along its mountain chain. which reflect the sun rays when sunset. Posted by wessam sherif.
