The best part of waking up! The first day I was here, I bought some Finnish instant coffee. My mindset has been to try as many foreign things as possible and avoid American brands, but had I known what I was getting I would have steered well clear of this stuff. (I guess that's why I'm trying new things- I never know what I'm going to get! Posted by Gareth at 20:40. I am so proud. Here's a loud shout out to my brother Chris, who reports for duty with the United States Navy at 7:30 this morning. Here's to...

Diary of a nomad. A girl from the tropics thrown to the far ends of the North Pole trying to make her way home - wherever that may be. Mardi, octobre 18, 2005. That's Welsh for "Welcome to Wales! People are probably wondering if I've drowned in Welsh rainfall but no, here I am, finally able to update my blog. Anyway, to more important things. Rain is an intrinsic part of everyday life, apparently even moreso in Wales compared to the rest of the UK. So it could happen that one minute it's all nice and...

Diary of a nomad. A girl from the tropics thrown to the far ends of the North Pole trying to make her way home - wherever that may be. Vendredi, août 19, 2005. Harry potter and the half-blood prince. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling. I'm a big Harry Potter fan and was anxiously waiting for the release of Book 6. Prices in Denmark were almost double what they were in the UK so I put off buying the book until I got to the London Stansted airport when I began my summer holiday. Somewha...

Goodbye, yellow brick road. The first CD I owned was Elton John's "Greatest Hits," on which the title to this entry is the fourth song. I'm listening to it now, getting sentimental. This is the last of my goodbyes, my last entry to ForeignFinn. Tonight, I am getting ready to head home. I never did suffer any homesickness (surprisingly! So, as Elton says, "goodbye, yellow brick road." It's time for this journey to end, and for me to come home. With that, the last of these Undiscovered Ends have be...Speak...

Okay so yeah.I was a little sapped-out last night (see my previous entry). I guess the right combination of goodbyes, late nights, and Moby's synth-rock will give that effect. Either way, I warn that it won't be last sap on foreignfinn: there are still plenty of farewells and other opportunities to listen to Moby. Posted by Gareth at 10:23. Another short entry, though I will likely supplement this tomorrow with more news. Regardless, it was a good time to come together and talk about the good times.

Diary of a nomad. A girl from the tropics thrown to the far ends of the North Pole trying to make her way home - wherever that may be. Vendredi, décembre 17, 2004. The reason why I can't figure out what to put on this blog is because I'm not sure I'm the type of person who wants to divulge her life to the world. But isn't that what these blogs are for? Anyway, I'll just start with a little something. Reading: Eleven Minutes by Paolo Coelho. To blog or not to blog. London, England, United Kingdom. My 50 t...
