I'm particularly pleased to receive cards from 5W1SA Samoa, A52AEF Bhutan and AH0BT Saipan. I got several cards from South Korea, which is unusual, plus some from Japan, and one from 9H Malta, OH0 Aland Islands and 3A Monaco. Thursday, February 26, 2015. Ham Radio Ireland - EI2KC: A great milestone - Navassa makes it 300 confirmed on LoTW
http://hamradioireland.blogspot.com/2015/04/a-great-milestone-navassa-makes-it-300.html
Thursday, April 2, 2015. A great milestone - Navassa makes it 300 confirmed on LoTW. Tonight I am delighted to find that I now have 300 countries confirmed on ARRL's Logbook of the World. The 300th country confirmed is Navassa, courtesy of the K1N dxpedition. I have 312 countries worked, and now 300 of these are confirmed by LoTW only. There are only 12 entities that are not confirmed on this electronic QSL service. This is truly wonderful. I am chuffed. Logbook of the World. April 3, 2015 at 4:02 AM.

Ham Radio Ireland - EI2KC: December 2014
http://hamradioireland.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 28, 2014. A little bit of fun on top band in Stew Perry. Difficult as it might be to believe, my inverted v system for 80m/40m/30m actually has some resonance on 160 metres. Resonance, as you know, does not automatically equal good performance. If you could see how the 80 metre v is dog-legged around my garden, you might have a greater appreciation of what I mean! Below is a video taken early in the night and features a QSO being made:. Saturday, December 13, 2014. I had worked Mike as V...

Ham Radio Ireland - EI2KC: September 2014
http://hamradioireland.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Quick update: C2, ZD9, VK9/X logged, E3 confirmed. Final approach to Nauru island, where C21GC is active. It turned out not to be a bad decision. When I returned to the radio, I managed to work C21GC on 30 metres CW within two minutes! A short time later I turned the hexbeam to 80 degrees and I could hear VK9AN quite well on 20 metres SSB. I punched in a 5 Khz split and began calling. It took just two calls to get into his log! Upon reading Ark EI9KC's blog. TZ6BB, Mali, for ...
