The area is known for its beautiful fynbos. And is a popular bird-watching. Spot, with many hiking and horse trails. Of Mossel Bay (35km) has many holiday attractions - shopping, restaurants, sight-seeing, whale watching and entertainment. On the other side of Robinson pass is the Little Karoo. Where Oudtshoorn (50km) offers ostrich farms and the well-known Cango Caves. The region is very well-known as one of the world's best golfing destinations. Eight Bells is very environmentally aware and friendly.
