turkish delight: March 2010
http://lucyandmatt.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 9, 2010. Love Letter: Old Turkish Men. For last six-ish months, since we moved here in October, I've been following a fairly regular yoga schedule. (Side note: Cihangir Yoga. Could get a love letter all its own, but there is just too much to love in Istanbul so it can only get a side note.) Which means I walk the same route at the same time every other day to get to my yoga studio. Which means I encounter the same people on this walk. Then we were sitting drinking beer outside of a bar a c...

turkish delight: November 2009
http://lucyandmatt.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 29, 2009. We did eat things besides Inflatable Turkey, though. Evidence of this:. Stuffing (no recipe- just kind of followed what my mom does),. Adding wine, duh), Cranberry Sauce and a salad with goat cheese and pomegranate dressing. For our feast of thanks were pretty easy to find in Turkey, except Cranberries. Cranberries don't even exist here in canned form, and certainly not in the fresh/frozen form. We did find dried cranberries though, and a recipe on the internet. You can get squ...

turkish delight: Love Letter: Turkish Street Food
http://lucyandmatt.blogspot.com/2010/03/love-letter-turkish-street-food.html
Sunday, March 7, 2010. Love Letter: Turkish Street Food. Street food is kind of amazing wherever you travel, but we've particularly loved it here in the 'Bul. Istanbul is known for its Donor Kebab stands, but there is a lot more than that. The food stands are out 24 hrs a day, and you can get anything from french fries to meat pastries to Kokorec (sheep intestine) burritos. Some of our favorites:. 1) Simit. It's like a pretzel covered in sesame. 50 cents, soft and chewy. Perfect. Gohmann and Chris in JPN.

Best Pizza in Hong Kong: Paisano's Central
http://bestpizzainhongkong.blogspot.com/2010/11/paisanos-central.html
Best Pizza in Hong Kong. Wednesday, November 24, 2010. But FINE I admit it, OK? It IS really good. So the disagreeable part of me was pissed, and the other part of me was overjoyed, and sang songs of praise to the heavens, for a new era of pizza had dawned on central Hong Kong, and just as the prophets had forewarned, it was indeed a delicious new era. But you've already read all that crap about how good it is in Timeout and HK Mag so let me just tell you a couple of things you may not have heard already:.

Best Pizza in Hong Kong: Ziti's
http://bestpizzainhongkong.blogspot.com/2010/08/zitis.html
Best Pizza in Hong Kong. Saturday, August 7, 2010. If you haven’t been to Tin Hau lately, there’s a cute little strip of shops on Tung Lo Wan Road that includes local pizza joint Ziti's. If you had never eaten out at a restaurant in Hong Kong, you might be surprised at its tiny size, limited wine list (one bottle of red and one bottle of white on offer) and bright lighting. If you frequently dine out here, then I think you know the drill. G/F, 110 Tung Lo Wan Road. Tin Hau, Hong Kong.
