Elder DrumBum in Madagascar: May 2014
http://elderdrumbuminmadagascar.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Someone who leaves their family for a short time, so that others may be with their families for ETERNITY. Monday, May 26, 2014. That's how they say hello here in Tamatave, where I am currently at. Pretty crazy. Here's my story. Anyway, I love you a ton. I am getting way tan here already. Elder Galbreath (cue music "and I got back, from outer space". I tried cutting my hair. It didn't go so well so I did what I could to save it. I'll try again when it grows out a little. So did your luggage arrive? I am i...

Elder DrumBum in Madagascar: August 2013
http://elderdrumbuminmadagascar.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Someone who leaves their family for a short time, so that others may be with their families for ETERNITY. Monday, August 5, 2013. Well, watershed festival sounds like fun. Nothing like spending a weekend in the midst of the heathens to make you miss your winter home in Zion right? Gotta love running into famous people at rock shows right? Like the time we saw Rob Zombie and I was so star struck I couldn't talk to him? Dad told me about the gel fight for the senior pictures. Sounds fun! I have learned lat...

Someone who leaves their family for a short time, so that others may be with their families for ETERNITY. Monday, January 5, 2015. Fantastic times with Fox. I guess that makes me the hound. First things first, nativity obtained and it is awesome. The little drummer boy is on order from the same guy and it should be here this week. That's that. Probably won't send a picture to keep the surprise for when you get it though. Sorry. My thoughts on the house situation are that if Mom is planning on moving down...

Eighteen Months in the Philippines: Obedience is always worth it
http://sistermikennajones.blogspot.com/2014/07/obedience-is-always-worth-it.html
Eighteen Months in the Philippines. Wednesday, July 9, 2014. Obedience is always worth it. June 9, 2014. My week is nowhere near as interesting as Sister Moyle's last two weeks have been, a good thing I guess, but I guess that I have a knack for unintentionally scaring people? Something about "walking quietly" and my eye color? My poor kabahay has been dealing with me just coming up to them to ask a question only for them to jump three feet in the air and exclaim "Sister Jones! Yeah, need to work on that.

Eighteen Months in the Philippines: December 2013
http://sistermikennajones.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Eighteen Months in the Philippines. Thursday, December 26, 2013. December 27, 2013. December 27, 2013. I'm sorry that I wasn't able to talk more about it on Wednesday. Chirstmas day we went down and exchanged gifts and it was so funny because Elder Niwelua ( I can't spell his name right) came in with a light layering of a shaving cream beard. So yes there are fake Santas here too Boo. Everyone liked their gifts and I am so grateful for the candy and the new "Preach My Gospel" in Tagalog (yay! I probably ...

Eighteen Months in the Philippines: February 2014
http://sistermikennajones.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Eighteen Months in the Philippines. Monday, February 24, 2014. This week went pretty ok. We had to go to the Mission Office earlier this week for Trainers/Trainee Meeting and I got to see Sister Roisum, Sister J. Davis (Kasama! And Sister C Davis from my stay in the MTC. They're doing great and many hugs were exchanged. Know what is really embarrassing for an AP (assistant to the President)? Please fix that for me. No, I haven't gone crazy. there's something kind of special about the seeds inside thi...

Eighteen Months in the Philippines: Courage and Kindness
http://sistermikennajones.blogspot.com/2014/05/courage-and-kindness.html
Eighteen Months in the Philippines. Thursday, May 29, 2014. May 19, 2014. Transfer announcement is coming up this Wednesday, so we'll see if Sister Foukimoana will still be companions for another transfer. For me, it's more of a flip of a coin to see if I'm going or staying in this area this coming transfer.I don't want to leave, but we'll see what the Lord wants me to do. This last week was pretty cool. On Tuesday, we were able to go on splits! No, but I admire the courage and love of this sister who wi...
