I snapped this shot during a day trip to Fitzroy Island off Cairns in 2006. It’s typical of many of the islands in the Great Barrier Reef, but is one of the easiest to reach in the vicinity of Cairns, North Queensland. I think it’s fitting, then, that this should be the first addition to the Barber Shop Photo blog series.
