The Art of Simple Living

Sunday, August 21, 2016. In just one week, Wasatch Waldorf Charter School will open for the first time. It is hard for me to even comprehend that this is real. I am so caught up in the logistical coordination, that at times, I cannot even take in what is happening. I am terrified - of making a mistake, not doing something essential, handling a situation badly, not being prepared and ready in time for the first day, something going wrong, never being able to find balance again in my life. I am inspired - ...

The Art of Simple Living: January 2012

http://ejmerchant.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Saturday, January 28, 2012. January Bundt: Pineapple Coconut Cake. Before I post the recipe for my January bundt cake. (And, it is a good one! I thought I would take a moment to expound upon the virtues of bundt cakes generally. In looking into the history of the bundt cake I have discovered a few interesting facts. 1- The bundt is originally a German cake, often served as a tea cake. I guess the primary reasons for my quest to identify and bake 12 great bundt recipes are three simple things:. What I lov...

The Art of Simple Living: February 2012

http://ejmerchant.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html

Tuesday, February 28, 2012. The goal for this year is to finish off a room a month in my new house. To get each space painted, decorated, organized and perfectly put together. January brought the completion of Maggie's room - a space inspired by two of her favorite things: polka dots and Hello Kitty. I am loving the final effect, which captures her personality, is clean and simple, and I think will age well with her into her older years. Here is the BEFORE:. And here is the AFTER:. The Art of Simple Living: September 2011

http://ejmerchant.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 29, 2011. I have an eight year old who whistles all day through. She takes Snow White's advice to an extreme and whistles while she works, and while she plays, and while we drive in the car, and while she dresses, even while she eats - don't ask me how. All I know is that some days I feel like if I hear one more high pitched sound I may run screaming into the mountains and never come back. Whistler's Mother: truly, my current hero. Posted by Emily Merchant. Links to this post. Two wee...

The Art of Simple Living: Illuminations

http://ejmerchant.blogspot.com/2016/08/illuminations.html

Sunday, August 7, 2016. The way sunlight pours in through the large back windows of our new home fills my soul. If I awake early enough, I can lay in bed while the mountains are still dark gray, the world is still sleepy and the sun is just beginning to enliven the sky. The clouds will begin to glow a vermillion hue, light will creep into the sky, and the sun will rise over Mount Olympus. A job for Jeffrey (that he enjoys, has a more predictable and open schedule, makes plenty of money). That list led to...

The Sams, Hollie & Malerie: February 2010

http://thesamsnhollie.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html

Wednesday, February 10, 2010. We spent all afternoon together in the kitchen today making Valentine's cookies. We pulled out our matching aprons (that my darling sister-in-law made for Hol and I for Christmas) and kneaded, rolled, cookie-cut and giggled for hours. So grateful to have this little person as one of my very best friends in the world. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. One Day in June. Two Peas in a Bucket. A slice of summer.

FIVE CUTE KIDS: March 2014

http://ourfivecutekids.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html

Sarah - Andrew - Spencer - Benjamin - Levi. Saturday, March 1, 2014. Before driving to Las Vegas for the night we drove to Newport Beach to put our feet in the water. We've only been to the Oregon Coast so it was a very fun experience to really be able to get in the water! We loved being in the sun and feeling the warm ocean breeze on our faces. I found a hermit crab. We found TONS of shells! We wish we would have had more time at the beach! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

family: This Christmas time

http://puhlman.blogspot.com/2014/12/this-christmas-time.html

Tuesday, December 23, 2014. I want to share something that I want my children to always remember. As they look back on this blog I hope they see how much good there is. I hope they see the tender mercies of the Lord in the life that we have been blessed with. Don, Zach and I went to Spokane to do some shopping. It was a blessing too that my little brother and his wife had also gone that day. They invited us for lunch and even paid the bill. Such wonderful blessings in our lives. I am just so grateful for...

Merging Law Firms

44 (0) 207 400 2000. How to find us. The legal profession is undergoing major restructuring. To survive, firms must adapt to changing market conditions. We’ve visited over 350 firms, all with an interest to varying degrees in the merger process. To date we have been responsible for introducing and successfully merging over 40 law firms. However, merging is never the answer, it’s only a means of achieving an answer. It’s important that a firm considers the merger process for the right reasons.

Saturday, April 2, 2011. So, I know it's nothing like the one I said I liked below. But. a couple of things. 1 I needed a rug that my office stair can easily roll over. 2 I really wanted to bring a natural material into the space, especially since I went with a painted desk. 3 I love the natual color, and the stripes give it that something special, without being the focal point of the room. 4 This one was $50! Now, I'd love to find a chair like this. Have a great weekend everyone! Friday, April 1, 2011.
