Kelly’s thought cloud. July 24, 2008. I heard a story on NPR. About a Bertlesmann project to publish a print version of the German Wikipedia. I wonder if anybody will buy it? How would you define “difficult”? July 24, 2008. My husband (a college professor) received this message from a student who presumably was unaware of his wife’s profession:. I guess we make it look easy. 😉. And now, for something completely random. July 11, 2008. Vodpod videos no longer available. July 10, 2008. Oh, and thanks to Rob.

Number of the day: 900 | kelly's thought cloud

Kelly’s thought cloud. Number of the day: 900. I’ve been cleaning out my e-mail and I moved all sent mail to the deleted folder and then “permanently” deleted everything from the deleted folder prior to August 25. I still have 900 messages in my deleted folder. 900! For a week and a half! And that’s just the deleted stuff – there’s lots of other stuff that was left in my inbox or moved into other folders. No wonder I can’t get caught up…. You can follow any responses to this entry through the RSS 2.0.

Relative Perspective: October 2007

Possibilities, inconsistencies, analogies, and mitigating circumstances, along with some experiential bias. Tuesday, October 30, 2007. I am struggling with how to handle the workload of cataloging our e-journals in a logical way. From what I can tell from my experience and from reading whatever I can find, there are three approaches being used:. 2 Don't catalog them at all. Rely on your A-Z list, link resolver, and/or other tools to provide access to e-journals. Where is the cutoff line? Besides providin...

Kelly’s thought cloud. July 26, 2007. I’m starting a new blog. Over at Blogger due to my frustration at not being able to add any 3rd party javascript widgits (i.e. flickr badge. Etc) on this free WordPress.com account. If I upgraded to a paid account, I could probably do it, but I’m just not willing to do that at this point. Too bad, because I really prefer the look of WordPress. Black background saves energy! July 25, 2007. I had no idea about this. RSS Feeds, part 2. July 25, 2007. July 23, 2007.

Kelly’s thought cloud. November 11, 2009. I went to the Charleston Conference. Last week and attended a lot of really great sessions. Did a bit of tweeting. But the wireless was hit and miss, so I started taking notes the old fashioned-way (well, using One Note – is that old-fashioned? I guess with the advent of microblogging, some might argue that blogs are out of fashion, but for this occasion, I’m going to dust off the old blog and proceed. Kelly’s thought cloud. November 20, 2006. Me, Steve Page, and my friend Kimberly at a BNL concert in Cleveland, Dec. 5, 2005. November 20, 2006. This is my first time blogging and I’m basically experimenting. Come back in a few months when I’ve figured out what to do with this. You are currently browsing the kelly's thought cloud. Kelly’s thought cloud. You Can Vote However You Like. October 25, 2008. My husband reminded me that I hadn’t blogged in about 2 months. Frankly, I haven’t really had extra mental space lately. But I watched this video today and was so moved, I decided to post it. Instead, all the issues (the specific issues of this campaign, the need for healthy debate in a democracy, the respectful exchange of ideas) were brought to fruition in a creative and fun way, and even gave them exercise!
