Elayne's Blog RUNNING TO RECOVERY. My journey of living life with metastatic breast cancer and "running to recovery"! Wednesday, April 30, 2014. It is the end of April and another year participating in the challenge. I will say I didn't feel my heart was in it this year and I'm sure my writing reflected that. I'm really not sure why as I have loved the challenge in previous years. I will try again next year. I will end with a picture of one special little guy who absolutely loves every letter from A-Z!

Storms Family narrated by Emy. Tuesday, October 13, 2009. We have a date! The induction date for baby Caleb Andrew is. November 30th! 6 weeks and 6 days to go Lord willing! Saturday, October 3, 2009. Been forgetting to update! Everything has been going well! With the pregnancy comes some loss of brain cells I'm sure. Have had some contractions here and there with a little monitoring in Labor and Delivery just to be sure but all has been perfectly normal and fine - praise the Lord! Verse of the Day.

I'm feeling well other than the fast heart rate at times and some nausea and tiredness (the usual in pregnancy, right? Ed going though a radiation and chemotherapy regime. Thursday, November 12, 2009. Dad passed away about 11:30 today. Mom, myself, and Christie were by his side holding his hands. Last night he was nearing the limits of what doctors could do for him. We had called the family to Tulsa to be with him today and to ensure that his passing would be peaceful and respectful of his wishes. His body just wasn't able to hold out any longer. He was not in any pain. November 12, 2009 at 1:41 PM. My heart is broke.

She's thinking ahead to grandkids' birthdays and mailing deadlines, not to mention getting her stuff packed. I think she could have had a career in logistics for the military. Oakie Grandfather: Another slow day

Ed going though a radiation and chemotherapy regime. Monday, November 2, 2009. I am a little frustrated that I don't get to see Dad interact, but they are keeping him quiet to help his lungs get better and keep him comfortable. The nurse early this morning had him awake enough to respond to questions with yes and no. Dad was able to say he isn't in any pain. Then they raised the sedation a bit to keep him from being agitated and working against the ventilator. November 3, 2009 at 7:37 AM.
