Briefing was at 11am as a small front needed to pass, but it looked like we are flying today! Not really flyable weather. Tuesday, Ju...

Monday, April 29, 2013. 28 April 2013 / Team flight with Jeroen! To train for the upcoming JWGC Jeroen and I are flying together when its possible, and today was such a day. I texted Jeroen and pulled the Libelle to the runway. The front was closing in rapidly so I had to find the right moment to take off and fly to Keiheuvel. With some small cumulus I made it to Keiheuvel. Turnnout city from upclose . :-). Flying North with Hogeveen set in the PDA. It went rather well, 200km with an average of 95km/h.

Friday, April 18, 2014. 13042014 / A lot of wind! The weekend started with the arrival of our brand NEW electro winch from ESW. After 7 years of heavy discussions and testing at our club we finally bought an winch in December, and here it is! The next day we started our the first winch operations together with the people from ESW and some instructors from ZC FLEVO who we visited last year in September. Weather not that great. Some very good thermals. Skies cleared in the late afternoon. I returned in the...

http://nieldeijgers.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 27, 2013. First of all going back in time (4 weeks ago) is a real brain cracker if you want to know the details, that's why I'm giving a kind of summary of the day instead of the details. During the contest I was busy with a lot of other stuff so I didn't have much time to work on the blog but you could follow it a bit on FB. And my Picasa album. I'm also mainly talking about club class :-). Oke here we go! Yes yes a lot of VERY nice cumulus clouds on the way to Leszno. I started followin...

Soaring Adventures: July 2013
http://nieldeijgers.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 17, 2013. 13072013 / Around Eindhoven TMA. A high pressure system is still over Belgium, it even might be the driest month ever! We had only 2 day's of rain in July and they aren't predicting any for the next 2 weeks. So it was again very hot and humid, the day looked promising with nice small cumulus clouds in the morning but they rapidly overdeveloped so we had to wait. 2 libelles and a Janus C are ready. Near Mol city on the way to Weelde. Only small cumulus clouds. Once passed we cont...

Wednesday, June 5, 2013. 02062013 / Difficult weather, cloud streets and landing AFTER sunset! The day before the youth of our club was sitting by the campfire, I talked to Bert about the weather and he agreed that the wind was to strong to make a proper flight with our Libelles. After some beers we decided that Bert and Pieter are taking the Janus C and Didier and I the Duo Discus. 100L water in the wings. 9:30 first cumulus clouds. Change of plan then! Pieter and Bert Ready! Niel and Didier Ready!

Tuesday, October 29, 2013. 26-2710.2013 / Weekend at Porta Westfalica. All packed and ready to go! After a four hour drive yesterday and some beers when we arrived, we woke up early (7am) to get a good start time. Unfortunately we weren't the only ones with that idea. Some pilots started rigging at 6:30! But they where all in grid for a winch launch so we decided to take a air tow, little bit more expensive but worth it! Ridge is on fire! The highway running over the ridge. Again I called Daan on the Rad...

Tuesday, May 6, 2014. 3-4052014 / FAI 500 and Nimbus 4DT. This flight has been on my bucked list for a long time now, waiting for a good weather window that is not too good but not too bad either. I checked the meteo and it seemed that saturday would be an ideal day to try my fai500, there is going to be some wind so we have cloud streets. Now to plan my triangle this way to have the optimal benefit of those streets. Click on the picture to enlarge. Started 1,5h to late. With the thought of, "If I contin...
