Elder Alex Poulsen - Brazilian Missionary

Saturday, June 30, 2012. Mom and Dad Come to Santa Maria! It was tricky business getting from the airport in Santa Maria all the way to Livramento without knowing any Portuguese! But we did it. Then we had to talk on the phone to find each other on the street and I couldn’t help but cry from joy at seeing my boy. Right away he took us to go eat churrasco with some members. Then we went to the church building where we got to watch him teach an English class. And we stayed in our hotel. They took us out to...

Elder Alex Poulsen - Brazilian Missionary: Temple Dedication This Week

http://elderalexpoulsen.blogspot.com/2012/06/bear-with-me.html

Monday, June 11, 2012. Temple Dedication This Week. This week was the. Of the Brazil Manaus Temple, which is way. Up North in the Amazon, but all of the stakes in Brazil watched the. Dedication. It was really cool. Also, we watched the cultural show that. They do beforehand. It was really awesome - lots of cool music and. Dances and stuff from Manaus. It was really inspiring to see them talk about how fast the church. Has grown there. The church started in Manaus not even 40 years ago,. Santa Maria, RS.

Monday, June 27, 2011. Well here I am in Uruguaiana. It's pretty nice. There's a picture from my house up there. The weirdest part about Uruguaiana is that it is completely flat. Cruz Alta was absolutely hilly. It took me about this whole week to not get weirded out by it. We met some excellent people this week. They lived in Clovis a while ago, then moved away, anyway, they are Elder Belnap´s cousins, his first name is Greg. Have an awesome week - gotta go! Monday, June 20, 2011. Yet Another Crazy Week!

Monday, February 27, 2012. This week was a pretty tough week, but in the end had good results. At the begining of the week I did a division with Elder Matos from. Manaus (The Amazon). It was good. He is way cool. I have been studying a bit about Paul lately in the book of Acts. There are a lot of cool stories. It makes me like our last name even. Friday was a tiring day. I was just really tired, mentally and. Physically. It has almost been a year since I have been in the leadership. He came to church&#46...

Monday, May 28, 2012. Well this week was a so so week. We have been having difficulty finding new investigators, but we have. A few good people we are teaching. There are a lot of people returning to the ward right now, a lot of. Less actives coming back, and so we are spending a lot of time. Teaching them all the stuff they need to know to be real members. And. We are hoping to be able to find new investigators through them. We. Are doing our best to not just knock doors all day, because it is a. We are...

Monday, June 4, 2012. Word of Poulsen Family Scripture Study Makes It To Brazil. This week we did an AWESOME ward activity. We did a ward talent show,. And it was really good. It really brought the ward to life. Lots of. People came and it was really great. It strengthened greatly the. Friendship and bond between the members. Elder Hormazábal was the announcer, it was great, and I played and. Sung a song I wrote that was an extended metaphor for missionary work,. Sunday, but very unfortunately didnt come!
