Fun In The Philippines: August 2011

http://www.elderandsistercall.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

Fun In The Philippines. Sunday, August 14, 2011. The very worst excursion we have been on was to the Jeepney factory. There was nothing there. The only thing we learned is they are built very poorly and people put their lives at risk everyday riding in them.It was a good thing that it was close to the church we went to or it would have been a total waste of a day. Different stages of a Jeepney. President Wong, Elders Lee, Roundy, and Call. Fun In The Philippines. Bamboo organ and old Catholic Church.

Fun In The Philippines: July 2012

http://www.elderandsistercall.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Fun In The Philippines. Monday, July 23, 2012. We had a strange storm come roaring through that caused tons of trees to fall and it took out power everywhere. We were without power for 3 days. Some people were without for a week. This tree went down outside our apt. complex. Our complex and downed trees. This house is right across the street from the temple. It got totally demolished by a huge fallen tree. More neighborhood downed trees. Lots of willing helpers. Fun In The Philippines. Our beautiful view...

Fun In The Philippines: April 2011

http://www.elderandsistercall.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Fun In The Philippines. Monday, April 18, 2011. It is always fun to see the smaller towns outside Manila, less traffic, less pollution and less scary. Street scene from a smaller city where the woodcarver lives. More trike traffic and less Jeepneys and cars. Pathway to the woodcarvers. The alley to get to the woodcarvers home. The woodcarvers workshop. His wife was working on varnishing liahonas. The woodcarvers daughter and her fruit stand. we bought lots of Mango's from her. Fun In The Philippines.

Courage is not the absence of fear, rather it is the taking of action in spite of that fear.". Wednesday, August 24, 2011. I was a little worried about how Caden would handle it, he kind of has issues with enclosed spaces he's not familiar with. Yeah. I shouldn't have worried, hehe. He LOVED IT. He squealed when he saw it in the parking lot. He was so excited to get on it. Not sure that I like how excited he got though.hm. Don't want my baby growing up so fast! Courage is not the absence of fear, rather it is the taking of action in spite of that fear.". Wednesday, December 7, 2011. I can't believe I'm writing this. Caden will be 3 years old in less than 2 weeks. Wait, 3? Where the HECK did the time go? Certain that just a few weeks ago I was holding him in my arms for the first time ever and marveling at how right. Then I had Caden. And can experience it as most any other toddler his age would. They have made their mark. And I can look people in the eye an...

Courage is not the absence of fear, rather it is the taking of action in spite of that fear.". Wednesday, November 2, 2011. Mastered the toddler years, I have. The Force is strong with this one. This year for Halloween, Caden was Yoda. I found the costume on the site ThinkGeek.com for $12 and we just had to do it. It wasn't quite the caliber of the lobster costume of last year, but I don't think we'll ever. Top that one. The walking stick was homemade, hooray for big trees and a yard. The actual night of...

Caden simply cannot handle Nursery on Sundays. If I'm in the room he is mostly okay; he can look around, find me, and have something to ground himself on. When he flies solo? Courage is not the absence of fear, rather it is the taking of action in spite of that fear.". Sunday, October 23, 2011. My child of God. Caden loves to sing along to songs that are sung to him, songs he's memorized. This is him solo-singing "I Am a Child of God" and 'playing' the piano with my mom, about a week ago. It doesn't get much more precious, more pure and closer to God, than this. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. November 3, 2011. Countdown to Baby 2. My child of God.
