The LDS Mission of Elder and Sister Syme: June, Blessings and Challenges
http://www.elderandsistersyme.blogspot.com/2015/07/june-blessings-and-challenges.html
The LDS Mission of Elder and Sister Syme. Sunday, July 5, 2015. June, Blessings and Challenges. Jerrol was a trooper and did an awesome job at the library without me for 2 1/2 weeks. I rested and hoped that I would be recovered enough to meet our son and his family in Washington DC for a visit. The shots helped enough for me to get around with a cane. On the 17th of June we boarded the Amtrak train and met Matt, Lisa, and their kids in DC. It was a wonderful three day adventure! Jerrol and Peyton at the ...
The LDS Mission of Elder and Sister Syme: May 2014
http://www.elderandsistersyme.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
The LDS Mission of Elder and Sister Syme. Saturday, May 24, 2014. This past Tuesday while we were at the Hyde Park family history center, Brother Mills from our ward in Mapleton came in! He was there with his daughter. He works for the church and is over all the international MTC's. He was in Europe for 2 weeks. It was so fun to see them and get all the news from our home ward! We showed them around and took them to dinner at a little Chinese restaurant nearby. It goes through a couple of little towns.

The LDS Mission of Elder and Sister Syme. Sunday, October 12, 2014. Cape May, the Boardwalk and a Party. Here's a little more from the month of September. The senior missionaries took a little road trip to Cape May, New Jersey. So now I can add New Jersey to the list of states I've been to. Woo Hoo! There were about 16 of us in two vans that drove over, then we met the local senior couple plus the young sister missionaries. Most of New Jersey is part of our mission. It is a fun place to look around. ...
The LDS Mission of Elder and Sister Syme: January 2015

The LDS Mission of Elder and Sister Syme. Sunday, January 4, 2015. A New Year Already! 2014 has certainly been an extraordinary year for us. It is amazing that we are starting a new year. The year ended with a calm Christmas Day, a party with the other Senior missionaries, and going to sleep early on New Years Eve. Christmas Day we had dinner with Sister Manson, Sister Bennett and Stephanie from our ward. It was nice to have someone to fix a Christmas dinner for. It is so good to spend time with the othe...
The LDS Mission of Elder and Sister Syme: July, Our Final Month
http://www.elderandsistersyme.blogspot.com/2015/07/july-our-final-month.html
The LDS Mission of Elder and Sister Syme. Sunday, July 19, 2015. July, Our Final Month. One of the obstacles to putting a family history center here is the massive card catalog on the main floor where the center would be. HSP has made various inquiries over the years about getting them scanned, digitized and indexed, but the costs would have been astronomical, in the millions of dollars. With the plan to put a family history center here, the Church offered to do it for free. I can just imagine how the ne...

Who Else Were You Expecting? Saturday, April 16, 2011. I depend on oopsie-rolls. Link They are very mild flavored so I decided to spice it up a bit with some pumpkin. So instead of 3 oz of cream cheese, I reduced it to 1 oz and added 1/4 c pumpkin.and added 3 pkts stevia. It's not overly sweet at all, the stevia enhanced the flavor. I had 2 with egg salad and some spinach for a nice sandwich. If you wanted a nice sweet desserty one by it's self, add additional stevia and some vanilla. 8 oz Cream Cheese s...

Mary of Course: Day 13 Oopsie Rolls
http://maryofcourse.blogspot.com/2011/04/oopsie-rolls.html
Who Else Were You Expecting? Friday, April 8, 2011. Day 13 Oopsie Rolls. I'm not eating any bread (or anything with flour). That is my biggest challenge. I could sit and eat a whole loaf of bread. .and I have. I love baked goods, pastries, confections of any sort. I'm okay with omitting the dessert type foods from my diet. If you don't make it, you can't eat it, right? Very true. Except the other day I made a huge pan of peanut butter bars with chocolate frosting. And I did not eat a single morsel! You c...

Who Else Were You Expecting? Friday, April 15, 2011. 3 carbs (1.5 net carbs) per pancake. And yes, that's a large dinner plate). Pinch salt (to taste.some things I just don't measure). Your choice of sweetener: I used 2 pkts Stevia and a couple of tbsp of SF Torani Caramel syrup (didnt measure) until it was to my likeness). Few sprinkles of cinnamon. 3 carbs (1.5 NET! Mary of Course: Cream Cheese Muffins
http://maryofcourse.blogspot.com/2011/04/cream-cheese-muffins.html
Who Else Were You Expecting? Wednesday, April 13, 2011. 8 oz Cream Cheese softened. 1/4 cup (or more, depending on your sweetness, make it a little sweeter than you think, cause it comes out less sweet after it's baked and cooled) of either splenda or your choice of sweetener. I used Torani (it's made from splenda, but luckily lacks that nasty aftertaste). It's a dream come true. Zero carbs. You buy it on the coffee aisle. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://maryofcourse.blogspot.com/2011/04/day-16.html
Who Else Were You Expecting? Monday, April 11, 2011. And said to heck with it, I'll splurge a little. I ended my day at 24 carbs.also because I. Took a Vitamin D/Calcium Chew. I still came out well, considering. I'm not hard on myself, I just like to be consistent. I feel like my diet (not "on a diet" diet, but the food I eat, diet (I don't like the word "on a diet" it's so overused and therefore you can't take anyone serious who claims to be on one. Aren't we always on a diet? April 11, 2011 at 10:55 PM.

Elder and Sister Schindler's Mission
Elder and Sister Schindler's Mission. The chronicles of the Anchorage Alaska Mission. Based out of Juneau, Alaska. Monday, December 26, 2011. Merry Christmas to each and every one of you,. This morning in the Schindler household (in Alaska) you would see Baldur wrapping presents (an unusual activity for him), and Nancy making rolls for the Young Adult Christmas dinner. There is a small tree here and lights, with Christmas music playing. Nice, huh? There is Christmas and celebration even in Juneau, Alaska.

Sunday, February 8, 2015. Out with the old, in with the new. Last Saturday/Sunday we received 19 inches do snow, which has made driving conditions really sloppy most of the week. The rest of the week was filled with picking up 2 cars from the body shop so I can sell them, entering the month-ending odometer for each of the 74 mission vehicles, helping missionaries deal with and know what to do for the 7 accidents that occurred between Tuesday and Friday, and attending three baptisms yesterday. A box comes...

Hungarian Happenings
Elder and Sister Viernes serving in the Hungary Budapest Mission. Monday, October 27, 2014. The Rest of the Story". That is still only part of the story. In 1979 President Spencer W. Kimball, concerned that millions of people were unable to hear the gospel, said that that the Lord would prepare a time when the gospel would be preached to all people, whether there is an Iron curtain, bamboo curtain, they would all fall so that the work can go forward. Have a great week. Elder and Sister Viernes. On a pers...
