Elder Cuff: December 2016
http://eldercuff.blogspot.com/2016_12_01_archive.html
Serving in the Japan, Tokyo South Mission. Monday, December 26, 2016. Week 6 in Japan:メリークリスマス (Joyeux Noël). I used Google Translate. I'm running low on time so I'm gonna keep it short, which works out because Sakae 長老 and I have been meaning to spend less time emailing and more time playing around Tokyo. So it's starting today. For starters Christmas in Japan is AMAZING! They came to Machida to meet me, say hello,. And give me a gift. Small World. I love you all, Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.

Serving in the Japan, Tokyo South Mission. Monday, December 19, 2016. Week 5 in Japan. And I have been helping each other with the languages, he helps me with Japanese and I help him with English. We've both really grown language wise, which has helped immensely in building an incredibly fun friendship. We got to attend the birthday party of some of the primary kids, which turned out to be like a ward party at one of the members house, it was so much fun. Also this morning, Brother Honda took us to C...
Elder Cuff: Week 7 in Japan
http://eldercuff.blogspot.com/2017/01/week-7-in-japan.html
Serving in the Japan, Tokyo South Mission. Monday, January 2, 2017. Week 7 in Japan. But due to this time of year, our mission president had everyone deep clean their apartments, gave us some reading assignments, and gave us a personal day to really reflect, kind of meditate, and set ourselves up for the New Year. Also, in our many food adventures, we found a place called Yakuniku. It's all you can eat Japanese BBQ, sushi, ice cream, noodles, soup, fruit, etc. For the grand total of about $12.

Serving in the Japan, Tokyo South Mission. Monday, December 12, 2016. Week 4 in Japan; Punk Rock Grandma. Our investigator has been following his commitments and it's awesome to see how excited he’s getting! He absolutely loves The Scriptures and his faith is really starting to build. We do have to take things slow and in detail because he has a lot of questions, but they're seriously all the right questions. Such as, "How do I build faith? Or "What is Charity? Totally worth it, that thing was delicious.

I'm here to stay connected with the family and to try and keep the various family components connected with me and with each other. The ties that bind are sometimes too easy to unravel. Sunday, June 1, 2014. Whose kid does that? As I pay closer attention I see that Eric and these other random strangers are absolutely correct! He is good at it. I love how you can see the ball Eric just shot sailing past the goalie! Have I done enough foreshadowing? Do you know where this is going already? Simple template&...

Sunday, March 16, 2014. I work with some of the kindest and most thoughtful people. I never suspected some of them could be capable of such treachery! No, not that. Remember last year your kids gave you a gift certificate to someplace that you really enjoyed? It finally dawned on me! I cannot picture Gaye Fine doing yoga,...

I'm here to stay connected with the family and to try and keep the various family components connected with me and with each other. The ties that bind are sometimes too easy to unravel. Sunday, March 22, 2015. Just a couple of funny things from my kids at work this week. They made me laugh on the inside (because laughing out loud would have hurt a child's feelings) and I thought I would share. Last week I was at the park and saw a group of children flying kittens (kites).". And then there's my third grad...

Sunday, May 25, 2014. Taking a mental dump. My mind gets whirling and won't allow the proverbial Sandman in to do his job. My invention idea stems from one of those recent moments. From Harry Potter, well, actually, it was Dumbledore's. That man had the right idea! I simply need a mental dumping basin. You must admit,...

Saturday, July 18, 2015. I really, really did intend to take breaks and blog or watch Netflix but something in my molecular make up just won't allow it! I get started and just can't seem to stop. On the upside, my house is looking good and will be completely repainted earlier than my self imposed deadline of July 31st.
