Elder Matthew Kenison's Mission To Chile

Elder Matthew Kenison's Mission To Chile. Tuesday, March 15, 2011. March 15 - HOME AT LAST! There is no thrill quite like the thrill of welcoming home a missionary as he returns from faithful service. The anticipation builds as you wait in the airport terminal (we had "Flat Matt" with us, wearing a sign that said "Coming Soon in 3D"). Sarah had a fun announcement for her brother. He caught on pretty quickly! WELCOME HOME, ELDER KENISON! WELL DONE, GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT! Posted by David Kenison. The m...

Elder Matthew Kenison's Mission To Chile: July 2010

http://elderkenison.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Elder Matthew Kenison's Mission To Chile. Monday, July 26, 2010. It was "one of those weeks" for Elder Kenison and Elder Balling. Unfortunately, Matt's companion was sick most of the week, so their activities were pretty curtailed. We've been inside ALL WEEK. so not much working. we studied a lot and did a lot of stuff at home but not much tracting. Some "investigator updates" from the few excursions they made:. Well shirley was at church yesterday. haha :D she's officially active :D WOOT! We always ask ...

Elder Matthew Kenison's Mission To Chile: October 2010

http://elderkenison.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html

Elder Matthew Kenison's Mission To Chile. Monday, October 25, 2010. The first thing Elder Kenison told us today was that he'd just received his "trunky papers" and needed information from us about his bishop's and stake president's contact information! Meanwhile, his companion, Elder Carvajal, is down to just two weeks before his return to SLC! And then he'll soon have a new companion. He will miss Elder Carvajal; it sounds like they've enjoyed working together. This was the report of the week:. I someti...

http://elderkenison.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Elder Matthew Kenison's Mission To Chile. Monday, August 30, 2010. Elder Kenison is getting used to his new area in the Esmeralda Branch. We asked about his companion, Elder Carvajal, and told him we assumed he was Latino when we heard the name - we were surprised to hear he was from SLC. Turns out his father is Chilean! The two mature elders seem to be getting along well:. Here's the current summary of the work in their area:. No new photos today (he left the charger for his camera at his old location a...

http://elderkenison.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html

Elder Matthew Kenison's Mission To Chile. Monday, May 31, 2010. We knew Elder Kenison got a new companion last week, and were eager to find out who his new one would be! He sent us this photo, claiming he was "in a trio" — yeah, right:. This is his "real" new companion, Elder Balling from Centerville, Utah:. Good :D we've got potencial! But we have to get better (health wise) first haha. That wasn't very nice of him; now we'll spend the week wondering what's really going on "health wise"! This week, Elde...

Elder Matthew Kenison's Mission To Chile. Monday, February 21, 2011. Elder Kenison has been in a threesome this past week (or a "trio" as he calls it), working with Elder Smith and Elder Van Dyke. We learned about Elder Smith last week; this is what he wrote about Elder Van Dyke:. He's from Kaysville in Utah, he has the same time as Elder Hassler, they were in the same district. Well he's. chill haha We always talk about hiking and stuff. It's pretty cool. Report on activities during this week:. Yeah Jus...

David Kenison & Family: April 2009

http://davidkenison.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

David Kenison and Family. Wednesday, April 29, 2009. It was fun to celebrate Bonnie's birthday today. It was "celebrate with meals day" — I fixed stuffed strawberry french toast for breakfast-in-bed, then we went out for a sandwich at Kneader's for lunch, and enjoyed an evening dinner with Sarah and Brian at Goodwood in the evening. We did miss Matt today; he always added excitement to our celebrations. But we're grateful to have Brian to "fill in" for him! I love you, Bonnie! Posted by David Kenison.

David Kenison and Family. Sunday, May 27, 2012. The Story of a Family Vacation - Europe 2012. Family vacations were an important part of my childhood.  We had a few traditions that grew over the years, and created many happy memories for us.  As my four sisters and I grew older and started to go our separate ways they naturally stopped; we went on to create our own memories and traditions with our new families. David Kenison & Family: July 2009

http://davidkenison.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html

David Kenison and Family. Wednesday, July 29, 2009. A few days ago, I talked about my joy in enjoying fresh Utah peas, tomatoes, and peaches. Today, the third part of that succulent triad was realized as I purchased the first box of early peaches. They are called "early red haven" and are "cling" variety (as opposed to "freestone"). They are quite juicy but not as flavorful as later varieties. But when you've been on a 9-month famine, any. Fresh peach is a wonderful. Posted by David Kenison. Today was Pi...

David Kenison and Family. Saturday, October 30, 2010. Happy birthday, Aunt Anna! Today was a special day for a member of our extended family. It was the 90th birthday of my Aunt Anna! Bonnie and I were thrilled to be invited to share in the family festivities:. Today started with a family meeting and temple session in the Manti temple. David Kenison & Family: May 2009

http://davidkenison.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html

David Kenison and Family. Thursday, May 28, 2009. I've had some strange urges lately. Ever since we got a new cookie jar for Bonnie for Mother's Day, I've wanted to put cookies in it! So I've had a few baking experiments this past week, when I can squeeze a few minutes free. I'm not even close to becoming a Fuji Mama. But I have fun doing stuff like this. 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Zest of two lemons. 3 tablespoons golden syrup. 1 teaspoon ground ginger. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 cup fresh lime juice.

David Kenison and Family. Friday, August 7, 2009. Oh, Happy Day! Happiness is the object and design of our existence; and will be the end thereof, if we pursue the path that leads to it…". Joseph Smith, TPJS. As I consider the happiness of my life as it relates to Sarah’s wedding, I can describe it in three phases. A GLORIOUSLY HAPPY DAY. Today will surely rank among the very most joyful days of my life (so far! Answers. He told them to build on the best of their shared traditions and find their own ...

David Kenison and Family. Saturday, February 28, 2009. I like working with the scouts when I can. Scouting meant a lot to me when I was a boy, and I believe in the principles and goals and methods. But lately, I don't have much direct interaction with scouting activities. Our stake hosts a "merit badge PowWow" each spring, and I had the privilege of teaching a Photography. Everyone is afraid of something. It is a natural instinct that we all have that can protect us from a dangerous situation. “On the other hand fear is spoken of as something unworthy of a child of God, something that” ( BD Fear. Why can it be so bad? The Lord is there for us now just as He was then and He always will be.
