Chronicles of Colombia: November 2012

http://www.elderpatricktaylor.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html

Thursday, November 15, 2012. I will admit, last Monday night I was so disappointed! Auh, I sighed – they didn't call me to train again. Felt like I had just been dumped – or more realistically like a really good family night or well planned activity fell through. Dang. Thusly I wallowed in self-pity Tuesday thinking I was so sure! Alas, it was not to be. But on Tuesday night I found out I was going to get my cell phone back. I thought I would die-Tranquillo-. This also meant I got to go to Concilio again...

Thursday, October 18, 2012. May They Stumble Not! Elder Holland is real! I felt like- hey, I speak Spanish. But then the next one- Elder Maynes said "Where are you from? Again with the Spanish English thing… "Uh.Alpine? And then even Elder Holland-"Como esta? I know you speak English! So I answered "Hey how are ya? And I kept going through the line -"Oh hi", President and wife. The only one convert we want to guarantee out of your mission is YOU! He came down and was among us. Walking around and even...

The missing missionaries have been replaced and everyone has their beds, fridges – miracle, chairs, desks, fans and irons. All set and all for 2,400,000 pesos colombianos. This week we will be focusing on doing a ton of intercambios with the new district Lideres and teaching, the new Elder Moss and I, a bunch of Latinos how to play ultimate. Ya! Love you all tons! Chronicles of Colombia: The Iron Rod

http://www.elderpatricktaylor.blogspot.com/2012/12/the-iron-rod.html

Monday, December 31, 2012. O Gosh this is difficult! For more than a month we have had zero people in church! Something has got to give and I think it is going to be my mental soundness. It has been a struggle and an adventure. We did a zone meeting and emphasized that we have to renew our testimonio Del BOM every day, and that should been in teaching our investigators. This is definitely a necessary habit because it really is the iron rod. I'm grateful for what I have learned from it. Love you all tons!

Chronicles of Colombia: April 2012

http://www.elderpatricktaylor.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

Wednesday, April 11, 2012. Patrick and his bunk mates. Look Beyond What You See. And Jess and Ez are in China with twins. What a gross word. I'm good on SD cards too. And pictures we can only take on P-days and in activities especially. How am I going to help the church to really grow? What can I do? How can I do this? I don't feel like I've helped anyone! Video of "I want you to know we're having a hard time." with Quentin L. Cook and he got all teared up. It was sweet. Though I may have...We entered an...

Always an Adventure: How do kids survive their parents?

http://candpbell.blogspot.com/2011/10/how-do-kids-survive-their-parents.html

Tuesday, October 11, 2011. How do kids survive their parents? While giving Emersyn a bath the bottle of baby wash slipped off the tub rim and hit her in the face, cutting her on the right side of her nose and giving her a bloody lip. It's a good thing kids rebound and love you anyway. Chris and Paige Bell. If only youd had a doctor or nurse around. October 11, 2011 at 1:41 PM. Lauras comment made me laugh. I am amazed that we havent killed one of our boys yet. October 13, 2011 at 9:24 PM. Simple template...

Always an Adventure: Bear Lake

http://candpbell.blogspot.com/2011/09/bear-lake.html

Wednesday, September 21, 2011. How I missed Bear Lake while we were in California. It is a major gathering place for our family and one where I have many memories and am glad to have the opportunity to make many more. (Thanks to my parents for making it possible for everyone to be in one place). One month I went three out of four weekends.it's good to be back. Jan and her boyfriend, Matt (keep your fingers crossed). Chris and Paige Bell. Gotta love the kiddie pools! September 21, 2011 at 10:53 AM. We wer...

Always an Adventure: Xterra

http://candpbell.blogspot.com/2011/10/xterra.html

Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Chris is always my number one supporter and was great to carry around my second number one fan (Emersyn). It was a chilly morning where I could see my breath so we made sure Emi was plenty bundled up. A lot of people showed up to see Lance Armstrong. It was funny to see how quickly everyone dispersed once Lance had come through the finish line. Rumor is he can't stand to lose and will be back next year. A fuzzy picture, but the leaves were already changing back in September.

Always an Adventure: Kona and the Ironman

http://candpbell.blogspot.com/2011/10/kona-and-ironman.html

Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Kona and the Ironman. No, neither Chris or I did the Ironman. We went for 'work'. The Kona Hawaii Temple. Closed for cleaning. The start of the Ironman. The pros have already gone and the age groupers are lined up for the swim. Craig Alexander - the men's Ironman World Champion winner. Chrissie Wellington - women's winner. Chris and Paige Bell. I am completely impressed that you swam on the course. I still dont know how you manage to swim more than a 1/4 mile at at time! Sooo j...

http://candpbell.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Wednesday, June 15, 2011. That being said here are a few things I will definitely NOT miss in California:. 1 Smog - I think at least 50% of the people here have asthma. 3 Loud trucks and motorcycles. 4 Living in an apartment on the third floor. 5 Living in an apartment. 6 The overabundance of franchise restaurants and lack of small specialty ones. 7 Shopping carts being left in the parking lots and not being returned to the store or the cart return that is one parking spot down. 3 Friends, of course!

http://candpbell.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Chris and I were singing (as good as our off-tune voice boxes would let us) to Emersyn on night and didn't really know the words to Hush Little Baby. I looked up the lyrics and thought someone had made them up. Hush, little baby, don't say a word. Papa's gonna buy you a mockingbird. And if that mockingbird won't sing,. Papa's gonna buy you a diamond ring. And if that diamond ring turns brass,. Papa's gonna buy you a looking glass. And if that looking glass gets broke,. Chris and I ...

Always an Adventure: 1/1/11 - 2/1/11

http://candpbell.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, January 26, 2011. With how busy Chris has been with the fellowship and my inability to get out and do more activities we have been rather lax in the racing and competing area. It is unfortunate that we haven't been able to take more advantage of the year-round warm weather. Without much in the way of training Chris took on a pretty tough mountain bike race. From the wife point of view Chris pretty much tore-it-up! Chris and Paige Bell. This painting was one of my favorites due to the sheer ski...

http://candpbell.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Wednesday, February 9, 2011. We feel like we are pretty well prepared as far as having all the right equipment goes. Stroller - check. Car seat - check. Crib - check. Diapers and wipes - check. And then we started thinking about all of the little things that a baby needs. Thank goodness for friends, baby showers, and especially mothers. Chris and Paige Bell. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). We were married on November 10th, 2007. Aaron and Andrea Skidmore. Adam and Kristina Ricks. AnnMarie and Joe Wilson.
