The Company first became involved with Carrolltown after acquiring it during the real estate downturn of the 1990s. Soon after, Black Oak established its offices in the center and became fully involved with the community. For instance, Black Oak hosted Carrolltown Elementary performances, blood drives, and Boy and Girl Scouts at the center.
