Let's start with greetings: Ohayo gzaimasu is good morning, konnichiwa is good afternoon or just a general hello, and Konbanwa is good evening. (Pronunciation hint: if the word ends in "su" the "u" is usually silent.) Now introduce yourself: "Watashi wa (name) desu." (remember silent "u.") To ask how someone is, ask "Ogenki desu ka? Going to tell you a bit about kohai. I'll tell you. Elders and sisters going to japan only come in once every six weeks. That means that there are two groups of missionaries going to Japan in the MTC. At a time. The older ground are called the senpai. Seniors) and the younger group the kohai. Is for the kohai.
