Elder Hoffman's Missionary Adventures

Elder Hoffman's Missionary Adventures. Tuesday, January 10, 2017. Welp it’s been another crazy week things have been going really well though! We actually had transfers a day late, we got like 18 inches of snow on Wednesday so transfers were a no go, and President asked us to remain in doors for most of the day. Once it stopped snowing we just figured we would spend the rest of the day shoveling walks and then it snowed like 5 more inches. So we shoveled more. I hope everything back home is going well!

Elder Hoffman's Missionary Adventures: 3 Jan 2017

http://eldertimothyhoffman.blogspot.com/2017/01/3-jan-2017.html

Elder Hoffman's Missionary Adventures. Tuesday, January 10, 2017. So this is on the wrong day but don't worry I'm not being disobedient. We went to the temple today so we had to proselyte on Monday and switch our p-day. New Year's Eve was cool. We just hung out as a district and stuff. New Year's day was odd. It was an all day p-day on Sunday. So we mostly just stayed home and didn't do much. But it's been a good week and I hope all you guys have a good week. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Elder Hoffman's Missionary Adventures: February 2016

http://eldertimothyhoffman.blogspot.com/2016_02_01_archive.html

Elder Hoffman's Missionary Adventures. Monday, February 22, 2016. Ok i might have to make this one short which stinks because its been a long week. Elder Browning got sick this week which gave me a lot of time to study. I went through Alma 36ish to 50 in three days. A lot of personal revelation. Mostly that I need to work harder and be more obedient, along with some other stuff. Wednesday-This was a long day. Elder Browning is still sick so I spent from 10-11ish. Monday, February 15, 2016. If you don't k...

Elder Hoffman's Missionary Adventures. Monday, April 25, 2016. Kind of a weird week But I’ll start off with the big news so you don’t have to bother reading the whole thing. I'M GETTING TRANSFERRED! It’s a bummer in some ways but I’m super excited! So I will be moving down to Pocatello central 2, and be the district leader companion to Elder Dawson! I've been told by like three people that he's a "work horse" so I’m excited for what’s to come! That’s about all I remember from today. Monday, April 18, 2016.

http://eldertimothyhoffman.blogspot.com/2016_07_01_archive.html

Elder Hoffman's Missionary Adventures. Monday, July 18, 2016. Monday was super busy. We had a service project in the morning so we missed like half our p-day so we were short on time. Then we had a lesson with a recent convert and she has a kid with Aspergers, It was just a little chaotic. But all and all the Spirit was still there especially when we got him to calm down. Tuesday- We finally got Elder Boatwright and Vogt out of our apartment! Friday was a pretty short day not a whole lot happened. So a w...

Life in Lyndhurst: October 2014

http://plesheks.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Thursday, October 30, 2014. No Sadness This Year. Twenty-one years ago yesterday my mother passed from this life when she was far too young. I thought about her yesterday and just smiled. No sadness this year. She and Dad are together again which makes my heart so, so happy. I LOVE the plan of salvation! I LOVE the temple covenants that bound them together on earth and in heaven! Sunday, October 26, 2014. Just as our lives have gotten back to a normal pace and into our regular routine we get unwelcome ne...

Life in Lyndhurst: Mother's Day 2015

http://plesheks.blogspot.com/2015/05/mothers-day-2015.html

Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Anyone who has spent any amount of time with me knows that I'm not a huge fan of made up holidays such as Valentine's Day, Grandparent's Day, Mother's and Father's Days. That being said, since having a daughter and now a son on a mission, Mother's Day is pretty special. I get to talk to my missionary! Totally worth the made up holiday. Here's a screen shot that Erin took of us on FaceTime with Andrew. My children surprised me by getting me this necklace. I love it! I received an ...

Life in Lyndhurst: U.P. Tour 2015

http://plesheks.blogspot.com/2015/08/up-tour-2015.html

Sunday, August 9, 2015. We try to do some fun things while there and this year we did some new things not done before. The pictures are not in chronological order. On Friday night we stayed just outside of Iron Mountain where they have a ski jump. There are 500 stairs if a person wants to climb to the top of the mountain. We climbed them all. Each step is sponsored by someone or dedicated to someone. This is Dave's Falls county park here in Wisconsin. It is a beautiful park! A view of the ski jump from t...

Life in Lyndhurst: January 2015

http://plesheks.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Thursday, January 15, 2015. On January 11th, my sweetheart and I celebrated 32 years of being married. Where did that time go? It seems just a few years ago that we were buying a house, struggling to make ends meet, wondering when we would ever get out to go on a date and how would we pay a babysitter? He loves the people in our stake! After I graduated from high school, I went to college at the University of Wisconsin in Stevens Point. I found myself as part of the Stevens Point Branch. There we...Two y...

Life in Lyndhurst: A Deep Thought

http://plesheks.blogspot.com/2015/06/a-deep-thought.html

Tuesday, June 30, 2015. I LOVE my Ipad! Yesterday I received a letter from our missionary son and he had a great thought. He was appalled at the number of people using their devices during the Sacrament meeting. He was even more disgusted at the number of people using their phones during the actual administration and passing of the emblems of the Sacrament. In their defense, could they have been using their device to read or study the scriptures during that time? I do at times. July 2, 2015 at 6:40 AM.

Life in Lyndhurst: Random Thoughts

http://plesheks.blogspot.com/2015/08/random-thoughts.html

Tuesday, August 4, 2015. I cannot express how much I enjoyed NOT coaching the track team this year. I was able to go to see them compete and even work at several meets. I didn't have to endure the cold and wind and whining. At times I miss my dad. Mostly his tender touch. But, I'm happy he isn't trapped in that body that didn't work anymore. I LOVE my seminary class! I look forward to another year teaching but wonder how much longer this calling with last. Old Testament, here we come! Getting away with m...

Life in Lyndhurst: Temple with Erin

http://plesheks.blogspot.com/2015/06/temple-with-erin.html

Wednesday, June 17, 2015. Friday morning took us to the Oquirrh Mountain temple. It is a "smaller" temple and it wasn't overly busy. Erin had very specific and personal instruction. She was a sister of promise and is now a sister of the covenant! We had such a wonderful time with her. It was a quick trip but filled with only good things. I loved being able to spend time with just our baby girl. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Elder Hoffman's Missionary Adventures. The Matt Walsh Blog.

Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Meet my new grandson,. He was born on Saturday, February 21st @ 1:05pm. Named for two of his great-grandfathers. He's an absolute doll and I'm in love again. Sunday, February 15, 2015. I feel so very blessed to have this man as my son. I'm also very happy that I've seen the maturity that he's gained. I'm not going to say there's not that randomness that makes me laugh and shake my head but I will say that I have seen him grow very much in the last months. The Matt Walsh Blog.

Life in Lyndhurst: April 2015

http://plesheks.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, April 21, 2015. I had a seminary lesson this week and it was about plural marriage (polygamy). Last time I taught Church History I don't believe we studied this concept. I spent quite a lot of time studying over the weekend so I could understand this concept better. Each of us will be asked of the Lord to do hard things. I thought about Andrew going on a mission. He was very nervous and homesick in the beginning and it was very hard for him. It was a hard thing! What's your hard thing? Today Pat...

The adventures of Elder Timo Pew, a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Texas San Antonio Mission. Tuesday, July 7, 2015. This was an incredible week! I won't go over everything that happened because I wish to try and verbalize some of my thoughts about a mission, but here are some highlights:. It was an incredible last week. I have felt the Lord's approval and I could never have imagined having such a life-changing experience. 1 Know who you are and act accordingly.

A state of never-ending happiness

A state of never-ending happiness. Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Sometimes, in order for me to understand something, I need to hear it "in a nutshell." Break it down for me to the essential basics. In the Book of Mormon, The Lord does that for us. The prophet King Benjamin tells us what God wants us to do, in a nutshell:. All that he requires of you. Is to keep his commandments;". Then the blessings we are promised:. There ya have it. That's all we're asked to do, in a nutshell. Be obedient. This is truth....
