http://eleanorhendriks.blogspot.com/2010/06/just-do-it-once-already.html
Sculpture, pottery and class happenings at the clay studio of Eleanor Hendriks. Saturday, June 12, 2010. Just do it once already! Even though I've been at the pottery gig for a few years now, I can still catch myself doing stupid things. Just the other day I was making handles for a batch of mugs. Because I was a little distracted while I was making them, I ended up recounting how many I had already at least 4 times. Posted by Eleanor Hendriks. Very smart idea :). Youre well organized. good luck! This is...

http://eleanorhendriks.blogspot.com/2008/08/time-to-glaze.html
Sculpture, pottery and class happenings at the clay studio of Eleanor Hendriks. Wednesday, August 27, 2008. I am about to embark on a mini glaze marathon. It's a mega glaze marathon when I have. Tables full of pots to glaze -I try to avoid those -they make me sweat! And a few results from the last round of glazing -I tackled the experimental jars that I made during my week of freedom. Lots of food for thought here -but I was happy enough with them that you can find them for sale in my Etsy shop. The glaz...

Thursday, October 02, 2014. How To Make A Chawan. I just came across this video yesterday. It is fantastic. It is also a very strange coincidence that my very first hand carved chawan. Was done the same way as in this video. Furthermore I went on to make my own trimming tools. And made them the same way as seen in the video. This is like 5 years ago. Anyway, here is the line to the video "How To Make A Chawan.". Jeffrey R. Guin. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Quality of the Day. This Saturday an...

Wednesday, 21 October 2009. Some new old finished pieces. You might have spotted them already in some of the harvesting pictures I took over summer. This is a blue version of my lava dish and I just love it. This piece was a test and the first one that was fired three times. And look how bright the glass colours turned out! Glass beads don't like when it's too hot in the kiln. Saturday, 17 October 2009. The glaze turned out very good. But the rim of the bowl was damaged like this all around.
CleanMud: Toad Castle
http://mudwerks.blogspot.com/2014/09/toad-castle.html
Tuesday, September 09, 2014. This past weekend I decided to make a toad castle. I actually threw this on the wheel in two pieces, basically a cylinder and the cone shaped roof. I rolled out a piece of clay and attached it to the roof and then cut the stones out with an exacto knife. Jeffrey R. Guin. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Quality of the Day. Tuesday, August 26, 2014. This weekend I decided to make a few terra cotta toad houses. I'm not going to use any glazes but I will use an iron oxide wash to highlight the lettering and incised lines. These are already spoken for. Not only should I have made more this weekend, I should have made them before summer started. They will look great in the garden. Jeffrey R. Guin. You are such an amazing artist. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Quality of the Day. A caravan and a kitchen. This Saturday a...
