Are the Cameron Highlands Still Malaysia's Hidden Gem? Trip Due to the rainier climate in the mountains, I knew the landscape in the highlands would be what I was used to in my native England - beautiful green hills and fields. To me, the Cameron Highlands felt a little European, with lots of little shops and cafes dotted around the streets.
