Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Balanced Budget for the District. The culmination of a year of hard work ended last night as the Board of Trustees adopted a budget for the 2010-2011 year. While $10 million has been cut from the district, we are still operating with deficit spending. So there will be more hard decisions to come. Read more of my comments on achieving a balanced budget. Friday, October 15, 2010. The Berryessa Citizens Advisory Committee (BCAC) hosted a forum for the 6 candidates for Berryessa School Board on Monday, Oct. 11. We addressed questions from the role of board members to the district's academic performance to class size. I have previously addressed class size. Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Preserving Counselors for our Middle School Students. This year will be tougher. The magnitude of the cuts we face is larger than in any of the other years. As a result, counselors are once again in danger. I am determined to preserve as much counseling as possible.
