Today my opponent, Mary Jones, sent out a mailer talking about a comment I made at a meet the candidates at the Spout Springs Library a couple of weeks ago and when someone from the audience asked me what was one of my biggest accomplishments were I stated moving the council meeting meetings to the evenings. A voice for Flowery Branch. September 5, 2011. This did not change until Mary Jones and the other two council members were no longer on the council did the council meeting times change. It was a long two years, but today it is worth it. People are able to come and be a part of their government. The council chamber has a number of people who come to speak, listen, and learn what is going on in Flowery Branch, but since Mary Jones came off the council, I have never seen her there in the evenings.
