Arts Blog: Instructor Interview: Hacob Khodaverdian
http://uclaextensionvisarts.blogspot.com/2009/06/instructor-interview-hacob-khodaverdian.html
Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Instructor Interview: Hacob Khodaverdian. This summer, we're pleased to welcome back veteran instructor Hacob Khodaverian. Hacob will be taking advantage of our downtown classrooms at Figueroa Courtyard to present Advanced Photographic Lighting Techniques. The class also includes two action-packed Saturdays at McCadden Space. I asked Hacob some hard-hitting questions about photography, and here's what he had to say:. What are the challenges of studio photography? My first professi...

Arts Blog: Instructor Interview: Felipe Dupouy
http://uclaextensionvisarts.blogspot.com/2009/04/instructor-interview-felipe-dupouy.html
Wednesday, April 29, 2009. Instructor Interview: Felipe Dupouy. Felipe is a gifted commercial and fine art photographer who we feel very lucky to have teaching with us. His enthusiasm for photography is contagious and inspiring, and his beautiful images have a depth and resonance that stick with you (I have one of his images of Boyle Heights set as my desktop, and people often comment on it). You can view his commercial work at felipedupouy.com. And his fine art work at felipedupouy.org. I am going to So...

Arts Blog: Intermediate Figure Drawing
http://uclaextensionvisarts.blogspot.com/2011/08/intermediate-figure-drawing.html
Monday, August 22, 2011. Jay Stuckey rides again! This fall he's excited to be teaching an intermediate-level figure drawing class. The course helps students move beyond understanding the figure in a purely academic sense to explore its limitless formal and conceptual possibilities. Students study how other artists have used a figurative vocabulary to express their ideas and thoughts. It should be a fun class to get you loosened up and thinking about figuration in different ways. Arts Fall 2011 Courses.

Arts Blog: Giant Zombie Pumpkins!
http://uclaextensionvisarts.blogspot.com/2011/11/giant-zombie-pumpkins.html
Tuesday, November 1, 2011. I think it's pretty great that whoever was in charge of the world's largest pumpkin gave editorial oversight to Ray Villafane, who carved zombies emerging from the gooey innards. There's something about the gross slimy pumpkin guts that really lends itself to zombie goo, aesthetically. Check out all the photos. Posted by Cristina Markarian. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Arts Blog: Instructor Interview: Kelly Williams
http://uclaextensionvisarts.blogspot.com/2011/03/instructor-interview-kelly-williams.html
Tuesday, March 1, 2011. Instructor Interview: Kelly Williams. Since joining us in the art history program last year, Kelly Williams has been leading hands-on workshops on illuminated manuscripts. If that subject conjures up vague memories from high school but not much else, read on to learn more about the art form and how yesterday's illuminated manuscripts may have inspired today's comic books. Would be a great opportunity. What exactly are illuminated manuscripts, and what interests you about them?

Monday, February 1, 2010. Instructor Interview: Roxann Arwen Mills. This winter, we're happy to have Roxann Arwen Mills teaching with us again. After a successful Master Class in 2009, she is back leading A Perspective on Nudes: A Short Photographic Workshop. A wealth of energy and inspiration, I thought she would be a good interview subject. And she was! How did you first become interested in photography? Where do you find the inspiration for your personal projects? It's important to know what you're cr...

Arts Blog: Printmaking Comes to Town
http://uclaextensionvisarts.blogspot.com/2009/06/jaime-ursic-saves-day-with-monoprints.html
Thursday, June 25, 2009. Printmaking Comes to Town. I used to get a lot of phone calls asking if we have printmaking classes. At the time, we didn't, and I would have to dash the hopes of our potential students. The office was desolate, and tumbleweeds rolled by my desk. Then instructor and printmaker extraordinaire Jaime Ursic rode in like John Wayne, there was a swell of music, and now we have. There are so many great things to say about Jaime, but I picked three:. 2 She has really good handouts. My fi...

Articoli – “Traffico”. Il nido di Eleonora. Posted by: Eleonora Giovannini. On: luglio 24, 2015. Dove i treni stridono sempre. Tra partenze e ritorni. Noi abitiamo le strade ed i cieli. Ci aspettiamo tutta la vita. Per un bacio,. Per un giorno di pioggia,.
