Laquo; down to the wire. Put a cat on it! August 05, 2013. Love is the law. On august 1st gay marriage became legal in minnesota. This meant that on august 3rd my dear friends patti and lisa, who are this year celebrating their 25th anniversary together, were finally able to be legally married!
