Fair and Freckled: June 2015

Birthday at the Lake. On Friday Grama Pobst turned 85 (after celebrating 65 years of marriage on Thursday! The kids and I drove north and enjoyed a day at Lake Chelan in celebration. Both kids were wildly enthusiastic about swimming in the lake. By day's end, Shannon was "swimming" from Grama to me fully submerged. Mitch has become a major water lover this summer (whew! And as long as he has his mask, he is happy! We enjoyed our picnic, perfect weather, and priceless time together. Shan was cold so she a...

Baseball season at last! Yesterday was the field work day and practice begins on Monday with no pre-season restrictions.it's baseball season! He's focused - and thrilled to have new cleats and pants that fit. In fact, he was focused on sliding to get his new pants stained so he looked like a ball player. Oye vey. This is Shannon's stance and tough game face. Watching the ball - and practicing switch hitting! There's no such thing as stopping at first in our yard! Happy 34th, Bryan! We love you, Bryan!

The Kevin Goetz Family: July 2009
http://thekevingoetzfamily.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
The Kevin Goetz Family. Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Baby Billy Ray Goetz. You know when your little boy is called a girl by a stranger in WalMart, even while dressed head-to-toe in blue, it might be getting close to hair cut time. In our defence, we did try once, but it just didn't work out! I started a poll on our brand new blog: should we cut his hair, just to be safe, before September, or just let the mullet continue along it's path to happiness? The friend party had a first this year: bad weather!

Fair and Freckled: Highs and Lows
http://fairandfreckled.blogspot.com/2015/05/highs-and-lows.html
Shannon spent the majority of last week as a very sick and puny little girl. Lots of vomit, no appetite, and abundant cuddle time. Fortunately, she has rallied. Friday we went to Umatilla to watch Bryan's team finish up the regular season. Koko was there with a dog! The kids were, of course, in heaven. The dog, not so much. Poor thing was desperate to escape, but still very patient with little groping hands. Bryan's team earned EOL league champs again. Never mind they have to play up a classification.

The Kevin Goetz Family. Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Jared turned 9 on the 25th of July - I cannot believe it, even as I type it! He had 2 birthday parties - kinda like usual - one with his friends, and one with the family. The friend party had a first this year: bad weather! That didn't stop about 30 kids from diving into Lake Roosevelt and taking a fun swim! His actual birthday was spent in Othello with Grammy and Papa, Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Jerry, Uncle Scott and Karli and the Higleys! Subscribe to: ...

Fair and Freckled: Quick Visit
http://fairandfreckled.blogspot.com/2015/07/quick-visit.html
We went up to Ephrata to visit Aunt Phyllis on Tuesday. Shannon and Great Papa hung out. Shan also read about kittens with Aunt Phyllis. Mitch showed Gramps a video on the cell phone - quite an experience for the luddite! He also had a short nap in the hammock with Grampa A. Dad and I attempted a neighborhood improvement project, violating multiple city ordinances to the dismay of the resident councilwoman! She was forced to calm her frayed nerves in the hammock with the Noodle. July 31, 2015 at 3:48 PM.
