Elise's english9 workpage: Q2_ANIMAL FARM

http://www.elisechae.blogspot.com/2007/03/q2animal-farm.html

2007년 3월 17일 토요일. Are there any current situations in the world that relate to the novel? What are they, and how do they relate? Does the novel shed any light on how current situations could be resolved or "fixed"? I think this novel do not really shed light on how current situations could be resolved or fixed because finally the farm that represent the country perished because of terrible dictatorship. I think the author wants to tell that communism can never succeed. 피드 구독하기: 댓글 (Atom).

2007년 3월 17일 토요일. Please choose one passage from the novel that is significant to you. Why is this passage meaningful? Please type it into one of your entries and comment on what you think about the passage. The animals crowded round the van. “Good-bye, Boxer! 8221; they chorused, “good-bye! 8221; shouted Benjamin, prancing round them and stamping the earth with his small hoofs. “Fools! Do you not see what is written on the side of that can? They are taking Boxer to the knacker’s! 피드 구독하기: 댓글 (Atom).

2007년 3월 17일 토요일. Are there any settings in this novel which you have found to be beautiful? Describe these settings and comment on why they were meaningful to you. The farm itself shows us a beautiful setting. To me, the same settings changed from beautiful to disturbing. At the beginning of the story, all the fresh nature with peaceful animals after they got their freedom made a wonderful scene. It was such a wonderful life of free animals working together. 피드 구독하기: 댓글 (Atom). Sophomore, TCIS in Korea!

2007년 3월 17일 토요일. What is the major theme of this novel? Why is this theme important to a teenager living in 2007? In my opinion, author George Orwell made many meanings in this novel, Animal Farm. I think George Orwell is also talking about human ambition and greed using animals representing human beings. The ambition and greed of human beings are enormous! Control with abused power can never succeed. This theme relates to us very much. What are they, and how do they relate? I think this novel do not re...
