Thursday, January 24, 2013. I'm not one to dwell on capturing the perfect Christmas card picture, so we had one quick photo session before church this year. This one was super cute. This is the one we chose. Our baby is growing up on us. Of course we had some goofy outtakes, too. Better late than never. We had a great Christmas this year. We decorated Santa's cookies in our Halloween pajamas. This year was the year of dress up.superhero capes. Chick the "nurse practitioner"/golfer. Better late than never.

Tuesday, July 31, 2012. We're in the middle of a heatwave, so I've pulled out all the mommy tricks while we wait out the heat in the comfort of the air conditioning. We've watched movies and built forts. We've had a dance party on the train table. We've made snack after snack. As you can see, our train table is more or less a ladder for Miller to climb on the counter and a stage for all of Chick's "shows.". I'm not sure I have enough tricks up my sleeve to keep these two occupied inside much longer.

Monday, June 25, 2012. We have been running around like chickens with our heads cut off so far this summer. However, I think the craziness is behind us, and we can finally enjoy our summer. The big event so far is that Miller is potty trained. He's been a week without an accident and even stays dry at nap and at night. It's one of those things he just "got." I'll take it.
